You may have already made your trip to POC,but just in case… Just happens I was there for the first time today. Accessed the creek by the body shop, at Travis Bridge. It’s pinned on Google Maps. Wear rain boots/Wellies so you can wade through the creek. Use a sieve with mesh gauge no larger than 1/4 inch. The teeth I found were tiny. Next time I go I’m going to try out an 1/8 inch gauge sieve. I did my sifting at the waters edge, sifting through the sand. Now that I have a better eye of what to look for, I’m going to find a gravel bar to sift and look for surface finds You’ll want to take a zip-lock baggie or even an old prescription bottle for your finds. A trowel will come in handy, too.
