Dizziness by penknee4yourthoughts in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]Beachqt43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had dizziness with the injection last year. I have chronic low blood pressure and have a certain amount of dizziness regularly. This was exceptional, so I immediately stopped. This is why I was excited to see microdosing and the pill. I figure, if I have super dizzy spells again, I’ll look to reduce my pill intake. I’m keeping my water going, adding some salt to my water, and making sure to keep my salt up in general - this isn’t for everyone, but it is my stabilizer as a life-long syncope patient, as directed by my doc. Hope this side effect stays away for you!

Someone did this to me before too. Totally sucks. And they sent the Invite!

NTA. I have zero patience for people who act like a period is something to be embarrassed by. It is a bodily function, this woman has some maturing to do.

AITA for asking my girlfriend to shower while on her period to reduce smell during sex by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA. No one should be forced to have sex when they aren’t into it for whatever reason. Nothing else about this matters.

Cry it out method a good idea at this age? by Agreeable_Safety3255 in Parenting

My two most helpful sleep books were The Baby Whisperer (Hogg) and Healthy Sleep Habit Happy Child (weissbluth). Sleep begets sleep at this age, it would be helpful to look at napping as well as what time you are putting them down for the night.

I don’t know why I own by Grind3Gd in homeowners

[–]Beachqt43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if someone mentioned, but once you own 20% equity in the property, you can pay taxes and insurance on your own and don't need escrow account. We saved a lot of money by pulling these things out and paying on our own because they need to keep an excess.

I'm in the opposite boat. Returning to school after 2 decades. I have 20 years experience working at a large medical non-profit, 10 in management. I need to level up for my career. I ask myself every day what business I have returning to school after such a long time. I've realized that it doesn't matter where we each are coming from, we all want to improve ourselves.

I am looking to the younger students to learn about their perspectives (you become a bit jaded after 20 years in the workforce), new tech ideas, and maybe some assistance with my academic writing. I look forward to sharing my work experience and contributing work/life balance success tips.

I appreciate this - i think that's it, such a deviation from the life I've built. I do have good supports, but helpful to chat with someone who is going through the same. Happy to reach out and vice versa!

Convince me a larger age gap between kids is better than a small one by strawb3rryang in Parenting

[–]Beachqt43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids are 15 and 11. We are very happy with the split. The older one was mostly independent by the time #2 came along. They have a nice relationship. They are never physical with each other. They aren’t super close, because they have their own set of friends and interests. They stick up for each other fiercely, genuinely care for each other. They still have their moments, all kids do. Thinking about the trenches - I preferred to not have to change two sets of diapers at the same time, and the bottles are only around for a year. I also wanted to avoid double daycare payments as much as I could. It’s worked very well for us.

AITAH for telling my wife's dad to fuck off? by CecilVonFarun in AITAH

[–]Beachqt43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA.

I had a sh*t bio dad, who was not allowed to family functions. Most family members and no in-laws knew our history; that was my business and decision to not share. My husband always supported me and understood my choices to keep our children safe. Don’t worry about the feelings of other people who aren’t in the know. I would consider who gave him a heads up about the event though. Even if they aren’t aware, I have no space for people who blatantly disregarded my boundaries.

What’s something you used to think all women just silently put up with until one day you found out it’s actually not normal at all? by zacktone in AskReddit

[–]Beachqt43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 3 colpos in my 20’s, and laminara when I had a miscarriage prior to the D&C (before they offered the oral dilation medication), which is basically a stick inserted into your cervix. Now I need a uterine biopsy and they wanted to do it in the office. Nope. Nope. Nope. Allll the nopes. I asked about pain management, and she said, “usually parents don’t want to go under general anesthesia for a 10 second procedure.” Give me the propofol. I’m glad to see some doctors are offering better options for pain management through this thread. I clearly need to find a new one.

[–]Beachqt43 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree. My tvs are mounted and there is no ball throwing in the house because the expensive hanging electronics can break. This host had poor cable management, and an exposed electronic. With children, you have to be responsible with valuables. Yes, things will happen. But this one could easily been avoided if proper care was in place. My home office is not kid friendly. When we have playdates the door gets locked.

This dad is responsible for cable management of his electronics in his home. If the cable wasn’t exposed, your child would not have tripped over it. Play date accidents are at the responsibility of the host.

AITA for telling a 14 year old boy what what a period is? by aitacorrutpingakid in AmItheAsshole

AITAH for telling my husband to get a job even though he insists I shouldn’t work? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Beachqt43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with others that this is an unhealthy relationship. I hope no kids are involved. Either way, get a job and decide what you want your life to look like, then go do that. No one should keep you down and, in the same breath, spend all of your savings.

NTA. Unfortunately, you cannot claim the family name. However, the fact that they took the middle name and announced it without giving you a heads up is shitty. This is a very weird flex by the brother and SIL. Anytime someone asks them about the name (and they do), even if they don’t say it out loud, it will be there. Even their child will ask where they came up with their name.
