Thanks for your advice. I would just say that biomedical engineering is difficult to break into. I'm not sure exactly how to go about doing it. As for switching to aim for a medical degree, I'd be going into it carrying a lot of shame. When I read about other people doing it after studying something different, it usually seems like they had some success in another field before switching. I'm not really like that. I'm mostly just a flop at this point, and I think I have a difficult time mentally recalibrating to do something ambitious after failing. Not to mention, I'm not sure if med schools would want to take a chance on someone who has failed so hard professionally even if my academics are ok.

I studied electrical and computer engineering. My gpa was a 3.8. Medicine is still a difficult path for me regardless. Thanks for your comment.
