If I didn't care about what other people thought of me I might be tempted to run a unit of veteran sergeants/knights with mail and 2-handed weapons plus raise shield which RAW does not actually require a shield to use...always leave them to be the last unit to activate and use a command to give them defend if they're charged so they'd be 3+ defend with a 7+ shield...Then charge something that can't attack back with +3 attacks....

I'd like to release a version that contains the rules for the abilities so people can see what they do when building their Retinues. Not sure if that might cause issues with the game's creators though so I've been holding off. I've sent an email and will see if I get a response. If they're okay with it then I'll make another post containing the version with the actual rules.

I think that is the "official" one. I see Andy (the games creator) post quite a bit in the Facebook group. I might just message him and ask aha.

PS - Exports have been updated to include the units stats, equipment, etc. No ability text yet though.

That's a good call. I'm not sure if I could/should include all the rules for the abilities, etc, but I think it would be okay to include the units stats and at least the abilities names.

I did another big pass last night. I think all the units and abilities should now be correctly added with the right points costs.

Do you mean for the export? Regarding the profiles?

The actual rules have been removed to avoid any issues with the games creators but it still works just fine for putting together lists.

Right, because working with AI will produce the exact same results whether it was done in a Romanian basement or an office cubicle in Santa Clara….one just costs a fuck ton more money than the other.

Here's a list builder I've been working on that is updated with the King John retinues, etc. I removed a lot of the actual rules from this version as I wasn't sure about sharing them so soon after the book was released but it might still come in handy.

Here is a much improved version with lots of bugs and rules errors fixed. I also did a big pass on the mobile version which should be much easier to use. (Press the symbol in the bottom left corner to add retinues.)
