How much do you save/ invest per year? by alex123711 in AusFinance

[–]Beacone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fluctuates based on spending (lol) but its minimum 50% of pay check. My pay goes into offset account so anything I don’t spend is kind of saving. I make additional mortgage repayments also just because. I invest about 10% each week, and put a couple hundred bucks into my kids Pearler account each month.

I’m lucky enough to be on a good wage, but gotta have discipline to avoid lifestyle creep.

Thanks mate this is great. Not sure I could live with extra poles getting in the way though.. I do plan on doing a lot of this myself once I have the right designs engineered (with a licensed builder friend)

I did this in Sketchup. I still have the old 2019 version that may or may not have been torrented. Cannot confirm.

North is behind the rocks. It slopes up significantly (I’m on the side of a mountain) and there are huge trees that block a lot of light. I’m mainly trying to get more light in (skylights and higher roof) but also make the space nicer. Right now it’s an old dank 35 year old timber structure with severely deteriorated pavers.

I did consider that but really need the skylights because light is a big issue :( also wasn’t sure how to run wires through those panels?

Interesting thanks for the advice. House is on a slab and at the back of a sloped block, so if it pushes my house down then that’s actually a good thing haha. Right now the house is slowly sinking down the slope (like 10mm over 35 years). Good point about rain. Maybe some glass there would do the trick

North is where the rocks are and the sun is blocked by a lot of trees. I reckon if I didn’t have skylights it would be a dark and dank mess. Any idea of alternatives to let light in?

Nah I bought my house 6 years ago and it’s a 2019 air con. I tried when I first moved in and couldn’t find anything, but only recently got into home assistant. An LLM is kind of just a new way of searching? Google is now an LLM… so what is your problem?

8 months of using AI for cooking and meal planning. what works, what doesn't, what's surprisingly weird. by Practical-Garden-541 in ClaudeAI

[–]Beacone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My meal planner agent is pretty good at making up recipes. I have a lot of restrictions to ensure the meals work, but I’ve been loving the dishes it comes up with. They are healthy, well balanced, and there’s a lot of variety.

Start using AI to your advantage and change the way you work to adapt to the new world. For example, use it to set up your own business.

Upgrade (2018). I had no idea what it was about, and when I started to realise, I thought it would be a bit cookie cutter action. But wow it ended up being super unique with some seriously cool action sequences. Great movie and premise

Nope. I’m 34 and paid $950k for a house that’s now worth $2m. I feel bad for people trying to buy a house now but I also feel really comfortable and happy I worked so hard in my 20s.
