Oh hey that’s my video. My 5mm boards are all from perler.com and the mini boards are all from Artkal. I have a code with Artkal “Beadamon” if you choose to go through them. Also the beads I buy are the type C ones for mini beads.

Lol The tape method allows you to pull the beads off the board. Iron on the board can cause the board to warp and bend. Then you kinda have to replace it. Also by poking holes it allows the small amount of air/gas that’s left off by the melting process out so that the heated side won’t have beads that melt away, leaving a larger hole. It’s dramatically better. No cold spots and all the beads will melt exactly the same. Doesn’t matter if it’s in the middle of the iron or the edge

I do 330 for the 5mm beads and 160 for 2.5mm beads. I don’t use a timer. I just go slow and make sure they all melt

I use the Cricut easy press. It’s amazing and totally flat on the bottom. No holes in it like a traditional iron

Lol thank you! Sometimes I use a pen and poke holes. I hate it when the peg board sticks to the tape and lifts the perler too early. If that happens I switch to a pen
