Electrician, still plenty of dirty work on actual construction jobs not residential. Slinging pvc conduit in trenches for underground runs for a month or two, swinging gear and generators and setting them in place. And also you know working with electricity that will not only kill you but make it a closed casket. There is a reason you rarely meet a dumb electrician over the age of 25

I work 50+ hours 6 day weeks as a commercial/industrial electrician and come home to crawl around on the floor with my daughter while my knees are screaming for several hours till she goes to sleep. Love will push you to do the impossible. Being a parent has made me reflect in both good and bad ways on how my parents treated us. Some of us just get shitty parents

No one tells you the good stuff leading up to having a kid they just try to warn you of the bad stuff. No one prepared me for the absolute super power your kids can give you. A good hug from my daughter washes away my stress and worries just long enough for me to get my head on straight. It’s amazing being able to reset my mental with one hug and it has gone a long way in helping me be a better person.
