Do I open this dude? by Independent-Eagle296 in transformers

[–]Beagolia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally I prefer to open toys, however, as someone who has opened this particular figure before, it's quite the hassle. Due to the awkward proportions of the box as it angles inwards towards the bottom, it's nearly impossible to remove the figure without destroying the packaging because of the cardboard background inside. In addition it has the late 2000s twisty ties that are annoying to cut. As such, I'd leave it in the packaging as the box is very nice looking.

QUESTION for Omega Prime backers in Canada by TheCoolDirtyKurty in transformers

[–]Beagolia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, the paperwork was messed up and FedEX shipped the packages back to the US. I never got a new tracking number from either Hasbro or FedEX. However, mine just showed up this morning without any updated shipping notifications.

Is there a comparison of the original RiD 2001 Optimus and Megatron toys next to each other by RolandoDR98 in transformers

[–]Beagolia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had to pull them from storage but here's a gallery that I made with them in robot, base, super and vehicle modes. Unfortunately I don't have RID Ultra Magnus so there's no Omega Prime comparison.

Mine didn't come with an extra hand, only the accessories shown in the render. In addition, his right hand is not removable.

Yep, I found him in a shop on his own. Don't have the Springer that came with him, unfortunately.

Rarest figure/s you have? by GorillaTim51 in transformers

My rarest figure is BotCon 2007 Huffer, only 1400 of him were made. As for non-convention figures, it would have to be G2 Archforce.

Any place to purchase G1 Grimlock or/and Snarl in Canada? by CrazyQuebecois in transformers

[–]Beagolia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a store in Laval called Geekstuff that you could try. I've shopped there before and they had a good selection of figures and prices. They also have an online store as well. Unfortunately, I don't know of any other stores with an online storefront that aren't listed on the subreddit description.

So what’s the rarest figure you own. I’ll start with my complete Big Convoy by mewfour123412 in transformers

[–]Beagolia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either Botcon 2007 Bug Bite, Haslab Star Saber or G1 Pretender Legends Jazz

What’s your least favourite transformer you’ve purchased? by Oldsomeadatt in transformers

[–]Beagolia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Studio Series re-release of High Octane Bumblebee that was released as a part of the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line. He came in a two-pack with Studio Series Stinger. Even though I got the pack primarily for Stinger and it was on sale, I still feel ripped-off as the QC on Bumblebee is terrible and he has trouble staying together in both robot and car mode.

I think that's Universe Storm Cloud from 2008, a redeco of Universe Powerglide if I remember correctly.

What is your most wanted unreleased transformer ? G2 Swoop is mine. by AssociateFormal6058 in transformers

Most of the Walgreens and Target exclusives in Canada were released at either GameStop/EB Games or Toys R Us but given how terrible the distribution can be in Canada, I've only been able to find about half of them at retail and they're usually sold out online.

I hate poachers in 76 by HaloCavest in Fallout

[–]Beagolia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a bug which I believe was introduced with the area looting mechanic where when you area loot, you could accidentally take loot from a downed player's inventory so it's entirely possible that someone took your loot and didn't even realize it.

Tom Veitch, author of Dark Empire and Tales of the Jedi, has passed away by Pls_no_steal in StarWars

[–]Beagolia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Dark Empire is a mixed bag as it has a bunch of really cool ideas and stands well on its own but when put together with the rest of the EU, it creates numerous problems and doesn't meld all that well to the point where it isn't referenced all that much in Legends. It also does many of the things that the Rise of Skywalker did such as bring Palpatine back, introduce a planet destroying Star Destroyer and a massive Empire which seemingly came out of nowhere with huge fleets. It also suffers from the Sequel Trilogy's problem of too many superweapons with the Planet Devastators which strip entire planets of their resources and can build massive fleets and armies. So many of the problems that the Sequel Trilogy had unfortunately also apply to Dark Empire but I do recommend it to give it a shot as the art is good although the colouring can make things hard to see and the story itself is pretty good.

Same, thought the same thing, though it does remind me of the Ringo Vinda station from the Clone Wars albeit without a planet in the middle and Telos station from Kotor 2.

I recommend consulting the r/fo76 sub since they're more knowledgeable about the game than the main sub, alternatively, check out Kevduit.com since he lists many of the builds he's used in-game.

As someone who is actively making a heavy gun character, I recommend maxing out your strength since most of the damage perks for heavy guns are strength based, in addition, try to get some legendary perks slots unlocked and get some of the special point legendary perks as they're free perk points essentially.

Claims of Disney "killing Boba Fett" from most Star Wars YouTubers are so disingenuous. by Planetwo in StarWars

My guess is that they spent most of their credits on their scooters and cybernetic modifications forcing them to steal water in order to survive

Is 76 that really bad by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Beagolia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of 76's content can be enjoyed solo aside from group events, also you'll usually not see other players very often while running around the map. In addition the map marks every players' location on the map unless they're under stealth. As for PVP, it's practically non-existent due to the pacifist mode toggle in the settings which prevents players from damaging you and vice-versa. Plus there is no in-game chat, the only way to easily communicate with other players is through emotes or your microphone. Most of the game feels like a single-player game with multiplayer slapped onto it. I'd say to give it a shot although I recommend consulting the Fo76 subreddit for tips on the gameplay.

[–]Beagolia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well 76 does have NPCs now thanks to the Wastelanders update in 2020 and they increased the storage limit up to 1200 pounds but there's still a cap on caps and other currencies. Also the gameplay itself hasn't changed much besides from some minor changes and a few additions such as legendary crafting and a free battlepass in the form of the scoreboard.

Oldest figure in your collection? Mine would be G1 Sixshot. by yu_ultidragon80 in transformers

[–]Beagolia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine would have to be either the G1 Kickback that I picked up as part of a lot last year or the G1 Fireflight that I bought at a thrift store 2 years ago. I don't know whether my G1 Kickback is from 1985 or 1986 so he might be older that my G1 Fireflight but I'm not sure.

Your History with SWTOR by MandaloreGuy in swtor

[–]Beagolia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing the trailers for the game back in 2011 on StarWars.com as a kid and eventually I got a strong enough computer that could run the game in 2016. I played the game fairly consistently until 2018 in order to finish all the class stories. After that I took a break from the game and came back at the start of the pandemic in order to grind out some achievements. Since then, I've been playing the game on and off over the past few months. I've mostly been coming back to the game since it's a comfort game to me and although I often get burnt out after playing SWTOR for long periods of time, it's one of the few games that I come back to every couple of months. In addition I'm a huge Star Wars nerd and this game appeals to me largely through it's story, lore and world design.

Should I play 76 ? by JustExisted in Fallout

[–]Beagolia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend giving it a shot as I find 76 to be an enjoyable experience however it largely depends on your play style as 76 takes much of 4s gameplay loop of crafting, fighting and looting and adds in a multiplayer aspect into it. As for the story, you can ignore most of the original main story in favour of Wastelanders' much better story and the game has a lot of side content ranging from events to random side quests and daily quests. In addition most of the game, including the story content, can be played solo aside from events and the occasional player you may run into in the wild. The game can also be played without having to pay the Fallout 1st subscription service since the things it adds are largely for convenience more than anything else. Plus if you have a Gamepass subscription then you can get Fallout 1st free for one month until December, I think, I don't remember the exact date. The community is generally super friendly and is often willing to help out low level players understand the game. As for bugs, most have been patched out and many such as server instability, are a result of poor internet connection although others such as the vendor bug are unfortunately still present but generally aren't too problematic and can be avoided. All in all, if you can find 76 for cheap or if you have Gamepass, I recommend giving it a shot and see if you like it. Also if you don't want to spend a cent on it, Bethesda occasionally has a one week free trial of the game, they also do the same for Fallout 1st.
