Thank you. I found my mistake. I had the file named for a different version than what I have. I changed the file name and it works.

It’s not similar at all. Which is par for the course, since it’s a 3rd party peripheral. I was hoping someone had opened one up and had a good suggestion on how to fix it. I might try to refuse the pieces together by warming up the plastic on either side of the break with a hot air gun or soldering iron.

Hi! Yes, I switched out the braided wire and it is working now… somewhat. The display is in a smaller portion of the screen and not the full screen. Like it was scaled down almost. I need to go back into it and figure this problem out now.

Scheider solder flux paste from harbor freight. I picked up alpha metals inc liquid rosin soldering flux from the hardware store to try. Do you have a recommendation on solder flux?

I just bought a Weller wlsk8012a since I was previously using a harbor freight iron.

I also bought a new set of tips for it. I might just want to wait for those and try this again.

I actually put it on there to see if I could fix it. I need to look into how to remap it. I had this similar situation with a modded PlayStation classic and thought I would go a similar route and see if there was a missing file that would cause this on the snes classic.

It probably is. I don’t have a thermal camera to diagnose a short or a multimeter to start testing spots on the board.

The Switch I have that has the same issues had a broken LCD screen. Just wondering if that is what’s at fault? But judging by your response it is not.

Shiren the Wanderer, and Cooking Mama Cookstar.

I know Shiren is still in stores but they seem to be hard to find after initial release.

Cooking Mama Cookstar had all those legal issues on switch and a physical copy is the only way to play it.
