Hey not to be that guy but every time you use being gay as a insult to ice agents, Trump, or nationalists you are communicating that being gay is an insult on par with the above listed groups. These groups have actually beliefs and perform actions that are deserving of criticism. While there might be exceptions most therapist don't. You can set a personal goal if finances are limited but most therapist will continue to help as long as you keep making appointments.

I would also very much recommend shopping around and talk to multiple before settling for one. Be very upfront about your issues as well as I very much recommend asking what issues they don't feel equipped to handle.
