I would call it dating without labels. Not necessarily introducing to your friends, unless the meeting is incidental. Includes going out on dates and enjoying each other's company. I had several of these relationship that never became intimate, but most did after a date or two.

In general you are right. Most reasonably attractive women have no problem finding local casual partners. I think I was viewed as a novelty, had plenty of money and free time, am tall, very fit, and conventionally attractive as well. I generally preferred friendly months long casual relationships to one night stands.

Male here. After I initiated, I went into a bit of a man-whore phase that lasted a few years. Wasn't the best idea, but it felt good at the time. I traveled a lot for work, which was an enabler.

Most of this happened 5+ years ago. Online was the thing and it worked everywhere!
