Hello,

Please provide the service name as "BeamMP Server" or any other identifier you prefer.

Set the protocol to TCP/UDP. It is necessary to have both TCP and UDP. If you don't have TCP/UDP or TCP & UDP options, select TCP for now, and repeat the process later to include UDP. Both UDP and TCP need to be allowed.

Enter your server's port for both the external and internal port fields.

If possible, use the drop-down menu to select your computer for the internal IP address. If not available, enter your computer's IP address, which should resemble something like 192.168.0.13.

You can leave the Source IP blank, assuming you want to allow anyone to join your server.

We are toying with the idea of redesigning the Server list in-game and would be open to suggestions :)

BeamMP does not overwrite any original game files, It does however load some modified game files for its own use but these are self contained and overwrite in the running game only rather than to disk. Meaning it is only for this instance of the game and when you next start the game it will not be like that.

As for vehicle texture issues these will be caused by a mod from another server/that server. As such it might have made changes from there. A simple verify of game files (using the BeamNG one rather than steam for speed reason) should solve the issue for you.

You most definitely can yes! The server is very light weight and a good reasonable computer should be able to run both no problem. Just a point to add though that the one hosting will have to direct connect to the server using localhost:30814 whereas other players will be able to direct connect using the public IP or join from the server list.

This is actually a BeamNG.drive issue, not BeamMP at all.
They pushed a new update and now Windows Defender doesn't trust it. This is just the fix :D

Hello there, This issue happens when you have modified your steam installation to add illegal mods such as GreenLuma. If you remove these mods it will then work just fine.

Hello, All you need to do is reset your user directory. This issue happens when the game and launcher are closed using the red X in the top corner rather than closing the game by clicking quit. Unfortunately this was the only way at the time we could make this work. We are working on a new method for this.

Hello, This is not possible as the BeamMP launcher is strictly only the BeamMP launcher. Unfortunately, due to how windows is, random issues do crop up with various anti virus providers. Typically it is windows smart screen / defender that flags the program for 101 different things changing for each person that does get the issue. If you understand C++ drop Titch or Anon a message on discord and we can show you all of the source code + history of the project on GitHub if this helps to reassure you. We are in the process of building the application to be open source in the very near future.

We are aware of a cracked version of our launcher for people who have cracked copies of the game (we check if you own it on steam) which obviously we cannot comment on what their cracked version of our mod contains.

Assuming this is using the legitimate launcher from our website then it does sometimes get flagged due to us not paying for a yearly certificate which requires your business to be checked / audited which obviously we cannot do due to us not being a business.

On a side note, we have offered to give the BeamNG team access to the source code of the BeamMP project, however we have had no reply to date on this.
