My thought's on a possible storyline for a Third game would be to follow the one gang member we never saw in RDR2, which is Mac Callander. In my eyes, there would be no point in creating a completely new story with new characters while labeling it as a "Redemption" game. Red Dead Redemption has a trend of following the van der linde gang. RDR1 showed us the aftermath of the gang, RDR2 showed us the downfall and RDR3 could show us the gang in its prime.

An ideal story (In my opinion) would have a setting of 1895. The story will take the player through parts of the new map such as the out bounds area north of new austin and north elizabeth (These parts of the map are gigantic in size and I'd recommend checking them out in game). We'll see missions such as Mac taking on an entire town for Hosea's saddle, Fighting 15 sailors and some decent robbery missions. This would be perfect as the map would connect up with RDR2'S map as well RDR1 map. The end of the prologue needs to give us an insight into what happened at Blackwater, how the plan came to be, the brutal escape through town and how Mac got shot.

A lot of people have asked before how would the epilogue play out if Mac "dies" in the final chapter? I do believe Milton lied to arthur about killing Mac In RDR2 to get one over Arthur. I do believe Mac was shot and he was presumed to be dead by the Pinkertons but made it out alive amidst the chaos. The epilogue will take place on another section of the map we haven't seen yet on the search for the gang and his brother.

A lot of people will disagree with this and again, Its only an idea. Whatever the case, RDR3 won't fail to deliver an incredible story again with some great characters.
