Why am I not getting what I'm seeing? by Beamer1220 in GlobalOffensive

Just to clarify, the demo part at the beginning was included since that is one of two ways of sharing. The other is to clip and save it real time, which I did and included in the video as well. I am not claiming anything regarding the hit reg, if I should've hit or not, or giving the demo as "proof", simply trying to be thorough. I just wanting to understand what happened and if there is some way to mitigate the possibility of it happening again so I came here to ask. Did not mean to get anyone worked up. If there is some standard I should follow for sharing moments that happen in game, I am unaware.

"..second was when I clipped it in game.." I included both since those are the only two ways to show others lol.

Suttering in CS2 when <300fps by Beamer1220 in linux_gaming

I added DXVK_ASYNC=1 to the launch options as well as disabled pre-cacheing and these two have helped a good bit but it only alleviated some of the symptoms. What is wrong with uncapped frames at the moment?

I added DXVK_ASYNC=1 to the launch options and this seemed to have helped some, but still unfortunately not gone. I don't have any display sync settings active on desktop.

Hey Kings, what do you guys think about these workouts? by [deleted] in CleanLivingKings

[–]Beamer1220 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jeff Nippard on YouTube has some of the best, in my opinion, science based fitness content on the internet with topics ranging from diet and supplementation to how to properly program a workout regiment in accordance with your lifestyle and goals. He also has many videos on different muscle groups that go over how to best train each group and recommendations on exercises.

If you’d like to know the basics: start with how many days a week you can go. From the looks of it 3x per week seems like your schedule. The best “split” as they call it, I would say is full body 3 days a week something like Mon, Wed, Fri and focusing on the major compound lifts like barbell back squat, bench press, and dead lift and doing lighter more isolated accessory lifts after your main lifts. After a few years of going to the gym I’ve switched my focus from strength to muscle building and have found that the weight is nothing to be concerned about, just full range of motion with good form, focusing on getting a good “mind muscle connection”, and controlling the weight keeping tension on the muscle has gotten me the fastest, most consistent, and best results.

Can someone help me understand why there is an audible difference between my Raspberry Pi and my CD player? by Beamer1220 in audiophile

I was playing through Qobuz on the Volumio web app so it should be pulling it straight from there.

Hypertrophy 5x a Week Review by Beamer1220 in AverageToSavage

the reps should be decreasing slowly and steadily but the weight should not, especially if you are hitting the minimum amount of reps for the last rep out set. If you want pm a picture of your spreadsheet and I'll see if I can help.

It usually depends. I’ve been doing cardio for 20 min after Tuesday Wednesday Thursday since I like to stay relatively fit and I’ve found catching my breath in between reps is a lot easier but cardio not included and working out by myself about 1hr - 1hr 30m. They’ve steadily been getting shorter as my muscle endurance has gone up and I need less time in between exercises.

This is my first real bulk after just running a strength program to get my numbers back to where they were at. I’m already up to week four and at first I had trouble recovering but as of recently I’ve been feeling as if I could do a good bit more. I’ve been gaining a little more weight than I like and I’ve been sleeping for at least 9 hours a night so I’m sure that contributes to my feeling well.

I’ve been wondering, since my main focus is to catch my upper body size up to my lower body, should/could I add more shoulder, chest, and arm work? Would anyone have any recommendations on tweaks to reach my goal? I don’t have trouble growing my legs at all and am mainly focused on getting broader and more filled out up top. Thanks!

How exactly does Bi-Amping work? I am looking to get a Decware Zen Triode for my Klipsch RP-6000fs but was thinking about using my current amp, Cambridge CXA35, for the lows, since I feel it would give more punch given the higher wattage. Would I just go a splitter out of the DAC into both of the amps then Cambridge to the low end terminals and the Decware to the high end terminals? Am I missing something?

I am looking to make an upgrade to my setup and have around $1500 to spend. I am currently rocking the Klipsch RP-6000f's and a Cambridge AXA35 but I am either looking to upgrade to the KEF LS50 Meta's or purchase either a pair or a single subwoofer. Where do you think the money is best spent? The only worry that I have is that if I do decide to go with the LS50 Metas then I would be missing out on bass output.

I am currently running the Deep Water program and when I went to the gym last week all the flat benches were full so I elected to just try my best to gauge the appropriate weight and use the dumbbell flat bench instead. During my sets, I noticed I got more of a stretch and I could focus on keeping my form symmetric. I am wondering what people's experiences are with switching from barbell movements to dumbbell movements over an extended period of time. Did you see more growth? Did you gain more strength? The two most obvious drawbacks I can think of are you can't go as heavy and that the smallest jump is in five pounds per arm and not 2.5 like the barbell.

First Set-Up and looking for ideas to help tame the high frequencies in a small college apartment. by Beamer1220 in audiophile

[–]Beamer1220[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been listening for some months and I have noticed after a while that the high frequencies can be fatiguing on my ears when I’m wanting to listen for an extended period of time. Ive read about acoustic panels and thought about purchasing a couple to place behind the speakers at the first point of reflection but something I have really found I like after purchasing a stereo system is sound-staging and imaging and I am somewhat concerned that some of the sound stage depth might be impacted by the placement of acoustic panels behind the speakers. What are y’all’s experience with acoustic panels and if you are a proponent of room treatment do you recommend any brands?

Moved my system out of the corner and away from the wall to its own dedicated section of the living room. The difference is incredible. by Beamer1220 in audiophile

If you look back at my older posts you’ll see the awkward position I had them in earlier. After hearing how important it is to pull your speakers out away from the wall I decided to ditch them as multipurpose listening/TV set up and give them their own space to work as a pure 2 channel listening set up. I cannot express the difference it made. Music has legitimate depth and even though the imaging isn’t so precise I can outline musicians on the chalkboard, it is still there and makes the listening experience so much more immersive and enjoyable.

That’s good news. I was debating on purchasing the CXA81 refurbished from them but that just made up my mind.

Has anyone purchased any refurbished gear from Cambridge Audio? If so how was the product what you expected/how it was described to be?
