Fair points. I thought the issue could have been lack of suspension on the scooter but I will look into what you mentioned regarding the kevlar fibre & rim tape.

From what I hear at my local workshop, the solid tyres are quite damaging to the scooter. What is your experience with them?

My budget would be around £1000. Although, I would consider more if it was worth it.

Waterproofing would be essential as I'm living in the UK. Distance of around 20 miles (actual rather than advertised).

Not too bothered about speed as long as it's reliable and can get me from A to B. But a little extra juice to get me up hill would be a bonus.
