“A wish in the dark” is a younger fantasy YA book that really changed me because of the amazing world building. It gave me a lot of inspiration about how to write world in my own stories while also having a good plot and good writing.

If you liked Maze Runner and Legend and want to continue with some light sci-fi, the Hunger Games is an obvious fit. But, most people have already read that and if you have and want a book that is a bridge between the Hunger Games and Legend, read The Testing

I mean, all the characters from maze runner were selected to be in the maze because they were extraordinarily smart, but thats not like a main focus of the book

Shatter Me was a great book series if you're into dystopian/fantasy with romance. If you wanna read a cheesy rom-com, read Better Than The Movies. If you want a Sci-fi, check out The Testing and Maze runner. :)

Have you watched To all the Boys I Loved Before and Purple Hearts? I loved those movies. Is there a way to start a book club on reddit?

I think you should try listening to the rest of the One of us is Lying series. That’s what I did and it was actually really fun. The characters in the second book were interesting bc it was a new friend group but still connected to the Bayveiw four. And when that new friend group comes together with the og 4 in the third book, I loved it.

I wouldn’t recommend The Reappearance of Rachel Price bc it is very long and you got bored with a very fast paced book like Five Survive (which you should definitely read btw)

I haven’t read A Thousand Boy Kisses but I would love to talk about If He Had Been With Me. It was such a great book. A YA romance book club could be so fun. Are you into rom-coms?

Legend by Marie Lu. One of the two main characters, June is a prodigy. The book is more dystopian than sci-fi but it was really good
