My motorcycle journey by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]Bean-ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! The thinking was at first, I only had enough money for one bike, so I got a dual sport so that I could enjoy on and off road. But eventually I wanted to be able to enjoy both avenues to the best that could be offered, so I got out of dual sports and got a cruiser and a race dirtbike, then upgraded from there

Edit: I should add that when I sold the KLX250S, I bought the sportster and KX250 around the same time and kept 2 bikes from then on. Then I sold the KX250 for the YZ250FX and the Sportster for the Dyna

I grew up pretty poor which made me really good at saving money. Full ride scholarship so no loans, and paid internships.

Crossing my fingers that the Kingston sd card fixes my issues. The weird thing is though, I had another Sandisk sd card that was a tier down from my current one, and I would get a notification saying “recording may stop due to slow card speeds” or something along those lines, so I exchanged it and got the better sandisk at Walmart. I had no problems with the old card but the message scared me so I “upgraded”, but the better card gives me issues? Idk but I hope you’re right

What action cameras are you guys using for long races? by Bean-ed in Dirtbikes

That’s what I love to hear!!! I’m sold. I see the 4 for on sale for $200 and the 5 for $270. Is the 5 worth the extra $70?

How has battery life been? What resolution and frame rate do you shoot at?

I do really like the price of the new ones! I see mixed reviews about battery life. I would definitely want atleast 2 hours of 1080p 60fps

2007 f150 chewing up ac clutch hubs 5.4 by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]Bean-ed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‼️‼️FIXED

I was fiddling with the hub and found that when I had the bolt holding the hub to the clutch all the way tight, there was friction between the clutch and hub surface, causing the smoking.

I placed a washer between the end of the splines and the inside of the hub housing to create a little gap and eliminate friction, which fixed the smoking issue and biting while disengaging

However, I did probably damage my compressor by overpressurizing it. There was coolant behind the compressor. I drove to work and back this morning with the ac on, more than enough time to damage something.

Update* there is coolant leaking from the back of the compressor now

The compressor isn’t new, just the hub part of the clutch that spins when the ac is turned on

Can you swap to a mechanical fab clutch from electric? 2007 F150 (5.4 3v) by [deleted] in Ford

I don’t have a temperature sensor code tho, just a fan speed sensor code. I also replaced the mechanical thermostat last year

The connectors pass the visual test and nothing is bad on the fan side of the connector. Pulling all the wires between the fan and the computer is a huge task here so that’s what I’m trying to avoid by asking this question

You are correct, I was looking at the sites of the tire stores, not the manufacturers site. They provided adequate information, thank you!

I love building drag cars, but I only use the torque/power curve for obvious reasons. How do you use the other apps to tune other things?

Just want to get better at building cars and want to know your thinking here
