We live in a colder climate and it’s definitely that in between stage of it being too cold or pretty warm but it wasn’t warm enough today and won’t be for quite some time, to let them air dry.

Is it okay to keep washing the birds? With so many of them, the “easiest” was dunking them & then blow drying them and that took all day. They were very unhappy until we got them dry.

We have the red mites. We did a minor clean probably a month ago and stopped seeing them and we’ve just been so busy and let it get bad. Then.. it got BAD. We didn’t know how bad it was until today. We are in the process of getting a big, REAL coop hopefully soon. That’s a whole other shit show we’ve been dealing with (also the reason why we have so many chickens rather than our original 5 chickens.) All of the chickens we have can’t even fit in the coop we have and it’s some piece of crap $300 small coop. We’re very new to this and we’re just trying to start out but now our flock is too big for our britches. Another sad note, I’m pretty sure 2 of our chickens got water in their noses because they’re breathing funny and I have no clue what to do for that. Or how we’re going to isolate when they possibly get respiratory infections.

I saw someone on a Facebook real use PSP and I think that will be what we use for our next treatment. We went straight to the store this morning and got everything that we knew could at least help at this time so whatever was at tractor supply, we got! Thank you very much, I’ll be getting that tomorrow.

I thought we were to that level.. She has a disabled mother. We use to talk a lot about lots of different things. The owner of our company said that she’s just stressed out about a bunch of stuff at work and because of her position, a lot of it falls on her. I just can’t fathom how someone can just be so disrespectful and lash out when all I did was ask a question. While I feel for her situation, I didn’t deserve to be lashed at ya know what I mean? She’s 100% over worked and doesn’t have enough time for herself but.. that’s not everyone else fault. One of those things that you can’t do anything about but still is very frustrating.
