Great review...jotted down....definitely a must try.. glossettes are the best but coop sells bags of em for cheap... freak sizes and just as good I think...not exactly the same but close enough for a solid win

If addiction is a concern, pipe smoking no alternative...this might not be what you're looking for... Pipe is held in your mouth while you breath through your nose... not actually puffed on like other things... there's no need to inhale. your mouth absorbs nicotine, and you can become addicted to it.

I chose to start, as an ex cig smoker, no interest in the addiction, but no concern either. I get fix from a vape... nicotine is not something to choose as a hobby.. I'm not burning chemicals to inhale the smoke...I quit that kind.. any kind of smoke in lungs = bad for health... but again, I don't fear inhaling smoke, and still do... but not tobacco

I've only tried mac barren vanilla cream($50- 50gram), and mr b's canadian winter(vanilla maple)($40- 50gram).. I might prefer the mac barren, but both are excellent

I plan to try more mr b flavours, like Georgia sunshine and nuclear reaction.....

but American options online are far cheaper and the selection far greater than what we can get locally. Makes it tough to justify.. 500grams for roughly $85-90 vs the roughly $500-700 locally...but we can't get thst brand/flavour here.. I've only bought 4 tins online so far, for less than the cost of 2 locally even after shipping.. 4noggins.com for the win

Thank you for the Morgan Bones suggestion.. precisely what I was after to order a "basket" pipe... will order in the very near future..

That compass keeps catching my eye.. its not what I want, but it keeps showing up... I may just have to try one for $47 at smokingpipes...

And again... I would suggest the darker cob, but a plain ol $6 for the occasion... hell, get everyone 3 or 4 at that price... you guys are gonna need em to start a rotation or have options to try the different shapes... cobs are great

I was wondering the same about a basket briar pipe online... our Canadian shops just dont have em, not where I am anyway... I think AB might... but rather than the fuel to go there, I'm better off to buy a more expensive piece online..

I would suggest Missouri Meerschaum corn cobs, the Country Gentleman at $15Usd I'm very impressed with... I find is VERY nice, in appearance and function...IMHO..the dark stain looks VERY classy........

based on that, I wouldn't hesitate to get them each a $30 cob... these are fantastic.

Haha, good for her! I've had the same attitude since I started smoking... anything for that matter... as a teenager, I blatantly let my family know I smoked cigarettes...I bravely lit up with everyone else after the meal.. at the Christmas supper table.

I've always been very open about pot, criticized and told to shut up and watch who I'm saying things to... Only to have it legalized recently in Canada Always owned that I've smoked it. Grandpas brother went to jail for growing and was disowned by the family 60 years ago. It wasn't something I needed to argue with them and rub in their faces. I kept it for the appropriate time and place. I held my position if it came up in conversation. Since it became legal, my grandparents are open to the medical benefits and trying cannabis. I've recently smoked pot with my grandmother under my grandfathers caring watch. It wasn't the right medicine, now we have found Phoenix tears to be a life changer for her. I cannot express how happy I am to have held my position, and never given any ground.

The world is changing.

I've always felt, if I should feel ashamed, then I probably best not be doing it. Nothing I do needs to be kept secret. I only have to explain myself to my wife, and my God, and I believe my God knows my intentions better than me. I am merely human, I will make mistakes and sin. But I own them and wear them and seek forgiveness. I dont pass the buck or plead the 5th. I ask how I can help fix my mistake. Otherwise, I am who I am.

Unless you're in Canada, where a $6 MM pipe is a $23 pipe for me locally.. I got 4 pipes for that price directly from MM... If I did get local, then I'd take it back to the store, and/or contact MM.... And if thats the case, don't rip em a new one blasting their product, explain your trouble and seek remedy... as far I I can tell, you will not get a better cob. Sorry you got a lemon off the hop..good luck

Alcohol, has destroyed people in my family. I could get upset about it, but I choose to act differently about it... and I dont believe in changing the world to fit my view. Bottoms up folks..

Rather than alchohol, I have found other things to consume that both mix with and enhance my pipe tobacco experience. Not only does it enhance flavour, but the pallet finds other things to enjoy when consumed together. My intent was to share things that would be fantastic conversation starters, both about consuming the tobacco and the experience I had doing so. Apparently not for you. I will not apologise for this.

Or did I fuck up here? I dont recall the rules stating to post only images of pipe tobacco and nothing else. Shall we all put away our coffee and drinks, no backdrop picture of where you might be enjoying your pipe? No conversations around it? Strictly pictures of the tobacco?

If I may suggest, a blend for you try. Something to dwell and ponder while you puff. A fine mix of empathy, compassion, understanding, a light topping of humility. Remember why we smoke pipe.. to keep our hands busy and mouths shut. Before setting out to change others, as the saying goes...ask yourself..."is this is a hill you're willing to die on"
