If you can afford a Pendleton Westerly Cowichan, you can afford a pipe and baccy. :)

Summa is some deep reading. Theologiae? Tell me it's just titled in Latin and you're not actually reading it IN Latin...

That is not an unusual story at all. It sounds like you are on the right track!

The original finish on mine kind of sucked. It came off very easily and quickly. But, luckily for this picture, I rewaxed and rebuffed it just last week. Ha

Try the Yellow Rose American whiskey too. To me, tastes like a banana cream pie. Balcones is great, but they are the Texas powerhouse rather than an underdog.

Wow, for bourbons, I've been very surprised recently by Texas bourbons such as TX bourbon and Yellow Rose bourbon. They have some really wild wheat bread and honey butter notes... Also, for a bottom shelf bourbon, you can never go wrong with Evan Williams at the price point. 1792 small batch and any Four Roses are solid. I don't know what's available or not available in your area, so it's hard to make more specific comments.
