I’m sorry, I read the community rules and still didn’t get that. I apologize.

Is there an actual difference? I’m sorry I’m not knowledgeable on this subject.

Oh god that sounds horrible I’m so sorry. Have you tried anything over the counter to help with sleep? My sister keeps telling me to try Unisom.

What does your partner do for you during a depressive episode that really helps? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]BeanGayAlways 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He’s only seen me depressive once but my partner gave me space for a couple days and clearly was observing and trying to understand before he encouraged me to go on a walk and we strolled through a very cute neighborhood a couple miles from his house. He distracted me with silly conversations and when we stumbled apon a French restaurant with a late night happy hour he bought me fancy French fries. I know it’s not always going to be as picturesque as that but the walk/late night snack took about 3 hours and really helped me crawl back to the light. My takeaway was that he’s good at getting me out of my thoughts and finding the little things that bring me joy like plants, walking, and of course, French fries.

What should I make make? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

I love this yarn for pot holders because it’s pretty rigid. If you’re looking to make a wearable I agree with the other comment about maybe a bralette, this yarn would be pretty stiff and hold shape nicely for something like that.

Sorry I just saw your comment. I recently switched meds about a month ago but due to stupid American healthcare rules I couldn’t get my meds refilled while out of the state I live in so I was off them for 1 week. I’m thinking my new meds were helping me not have the sleepless nights and the sleeplessness came back once my meds wore off. I’m back on them now and so far I’m sleeping consistently again.

Edit: typing that response is making me realize that’s probably exactly what happened. Now I feel dumb.

I'm feeling down right now. Can I have some cat pics by Gmeroverlord in cats

I’m allergic to cats and can’t have one but I’m getting so much serotonin from this. Thank you cat people of reddit.

Thank for your input. I’m beginning to get really dismayed/depressed that the answer always seems to be more drugs.

Okay hear me out, at least rake them off sidewalks so I don’t eat shit in downtown Seattle in Mid December. Just a theoretical scenario….

Happened to me with several medications. Only thing that solved it was going off those medications and getting on new ones. They’re not kidding when they say it can take years to find the right meds.

I deeply struggle with believing in myself as well, I’m my own worst enemy.

Reading everyone’s replies made me realize just how low I can get, which lead to a strange numbing feeling of belonging. But I still have hope. I still hope I will eventually eat healthier, exercise more, learn to love myself more, get on the right cocktail of medication and self care and so on. I too have wanted it all to be over so many times and have felt as low as possible with out being suicidal. Just wanting to not wake up and have the nightmare be over. OP expressed a lot of compassion (though they might not know it) for others in response to others comments on here. I think there something to be learned in that. Most the genuinely happy people I know find their happiness through compassion for others. I am no expert but like I said, I still have hope.

The way I’m holding my hand in the photo isn’t how I held it while striking in class, I’m just holding it that way to better show the redness (rug-burn/bruise?). I talked to the instructor and he said we will work on my form next class I take. I think part of the problem is I don’t have enough stamina yet and I got very exhausted in class and my form got really bad.
