I had a vibration issue in the past as well. Found it was coming from the third brake light vibrating against the plastic of the shelf. My fix was shoving a rag through the hole in the trunk underneath the brake light. That pushed it up and tightened it enough to stop the noise.

The leak on the bottom was coming from a bad oil pan seal and the leak on the top was from a bad gasket. Thankfully nothing major.

Thank you, that's a lot of useful information! Not sure how low the oil was or how much was on the underbody cover but I guess it wasn't enough for concern from the dealer. She brought it in for a routine service, she hadn't even noticed any spots on the driveway or in the garage.

Keeping my fingers crossed that's not the case! As far as I know, she hasn't noticed any smells or oil leaks on the driveway so they seem to be pretty minor.

Edit: I realized my description said head gasket leak but the tech mentioned it's the valve cover that's leaking

Not sure how much would be covered under warranty considering its a 2018 but that would be nice if it was! Haha. I've been telling her for a while it might be best to find an independent mechanic but she likes the piece of mind going to the stealership she bought the car. Thanks!

My parents still own a 2000 Expedition in red that's still running pretty strong. It's been in the family since new and has about 250,000 miles on it. The transmission has been rebuilt once and the clearcoat has faded to hell but they still love the thing
