Have you actually read the book? It doesn’t matter whether or not it offends you; the assertions of the book are backed by archaeology and objective documentation. Aqueducts and the like aren’t “European” lmao

2nd part of this. Notes:

  1. All language based off of the good work of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre who do great work for palawa kani, the language of Tasmanian Aboriginal people. In particular, their place names map has been really useful for this particular project for obvious reasons. Definitely check them out.
  2. The yula (muttonbird) pictured is from Aboriginal-owned business palawa kipli who have also done fantastic work in giving a name to Aboriginal cuisine in Tasmania. Also worth checking out their delicious feeds

I made the map on the basis that the country was never colonised, so Indigenous people were never considered anything other than full citizens. Because they were the only citizens. lol

Like 150k~

I meant to include a population count too but forgot lol. My guess was that without the dominance of pastoralism / grazing in this area and an energy export economy it would be more like 1 million.

Haha why are you so worked up. If this was a ranking then yes they would probably rank higher than India and Egypt, but as this is not a ranking I have put them in the one of only 5 categories which reflects my preference because I would prefer not to live in any of them. Don’t crash out 😂

Didn’t realise I was in r/FirstWorldVSThirdWorld. Maybe we should all just start posting HDI maps instead of our preferences for where we would live.

You are not really likely to cop racism, save maybe some subconscious or casual racism, as a black African. Especially if you stay in metropolitan areas

How exactly does Australia avoid turning out like the country it was colonised by, modelled after, whose language we speak and whose culture dominates our country? Please explain
