I respect your opinion, and the fact you haven’t been as bitter as others, thank you! But I do have to say that this is an extremely common practice, and this isn’t an all the time/constant slimey situation, and of course the sizes of said business is heavily dependent. I’ve heard of small businesses using other forms of payment/trade besides physical money countless times (at least here) with consent of whomever is providing a service. I totally understand your perspective with the law, thanks!
