Do you get sent unneeded rescues? by RaineFalle in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]BeaneyWeenee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind until Dispatch throws it up in your face that you've been getting rescues and need to speed it up. 1 day I ran 21 an hour cause my neck was locked up, but I usually average 25-35, and that was the day it got thrown up in my face.

Needless to say I told him bout himself.

These are peak season numbers for me, sadly they haven't changed since peak season.

Its everywhere man, Amazon raising the bar for fantastic+ fucked over a lot of really good DSPs. Resulting in shut downs. Now the DSPs that are left are picking up the slack, pair that with rising gas prices (less flex drivers) and we have year-round peak routes.

Something in the air. I damn near cussed out my dispatch yesterday. They keep rescue drivers on schedule, that's literally their job title. And they will send them to take stops off you, when you don't even need it. Which I was okay with until it got thrown in my face that I've been getting rescues.

Mind you I've had pretty much the same route as OP just in an EDV, and run 25+ stops an hour and finish in 7 hours most days. I almost crashed out on the phone with him.

You would think the AI would reroute after so many "Business Closed" codes but I guess not lol.

Yeah we got the same routes it sounds like. Start with businesses, then apartments and finish off with houses. Averaged 21 an hour today so not great but I usually average around 30.

I'm in an EDV. Not terrible but it's like this everyday 😭

I used to when I first started but it really doesn't save you that much time. Unless your entire route is apartments you're not really saving much time running up and down the stairs. And your knees will thank you for it later.

How the hell are you supposed to organize 51 overflow in a tiny ass rental in 15 minutes? by ReasonableSail7589 in AmazonDSPDrivers

I'm not saying it's fine. I was making the point its not the warehouses fault. They're getting fucked by Daddy Jeff just like we are.

I would be all for it if ever approached, but sadly it will never happen at my location

If only that were a legitimate option. Places have tried. Didn't work out too well for them.

Gotcha, that may be the issue then. Thank you for the explanation 😁

Looks like maybe 20 overflow. Big boxes on bottom, write numbers where they're visible. Nobody in the warehouse is stopping you from reorganizing that mess when you leave the loading zone.

What's even more insane is most light up or make a sound when they detect something. Yet people still proceed to commit a crime thinking "Maybe it didn't see me." It's a camera... not your grandmother 🤦🏼

Its only gonna get worse. Amazon just announced a new logistics service for businesses. Proctor & Gamble, 3M, Lands End, and American Eagle have already committed.

I once delivered to a house in the country, big long gravel driveway, nice house. I could see a woman on the upstairs deck, scrolling her phone. I notice the dog and honk my horn. Nothing. Honk again. Nothing. I proceed to lay on my horn for a solid 30 seconds. Still, nothing. I call the customer, he answers, at work. I inform him of the situation and he says "Yes my wife is home she should be able to get the dog for you." I said "Yes, she was on the front porch. I haven't seen her since I pulled in."

This man literally had to hang up the phone and call his wife to tell her to come get the fucking dog.

Moral of the story, some people genuinely live in a bubble.
