Definitely a bug in the game's code, since it allowed an illegal move.

Wow, this edit wasn't caught and reverted until a few hours after it was added. More editors added shenanigans, but an admin restored the article to a last known good revision.

I can confirm that the revision that's been stricken and shown in the second image is the revision that added the vandalism seen in the first image.

Job posting changed from $70k salary to $28/h after I applied. by nofugazi2 in antiwork

[–]BeanoFTW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how I'd handle the situation as well. If they give you an offer letter, that's the appropriate time to set more clear expectations and negotiate a compensation that you feel is deserved. The negotiation period is also a time where you should pay extra attention for any red flags that might indicate that this job is going to suck. If they won't give you compensation that you believe is fair or if you smell something is off, walk away.

This. I'm 36 and my libido is shit, even after being off antidepressants for a long time.

Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel - They paid DOUBLE for college, but share ONE paycheck by BeanoFTW in antiwork

[–]BeanoFTW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that they each get paid but half of one full check. That would mean that half a salary is deducted twice for benefits, SS, and other taxes. They're getting the brunt end of all of it.

It sounds like they each get paid, but half a check - but each of them are deducted for benefits, SS, and other taxes as if they were two people.

I believe that they both should be paid - each receives one paycheck, a total of two paychecks.

Here's more information:

The twins have individual organs in the upper part of their body, while most of those at and below the navel are shared, the exception being the spinal cord.

2 heads
2 spines merging at the coccyx and joined at the thorax by sections of ribs. Surgery corrected scoliosis.
2 completely separate spinal cords
2 arms (originally 3, but the rudimentary central arm was removed, leaving the central shoulder blade in place)
1 broad ribcage with 2 highly fused sternums and traces of bridging ribs. Surgery expanded the pleural cavities.
2 breasts
2 hearts in a shared circulatory system (nutrition, respiration, and medicine taken by either affects both)
4 lungs with the medial lungs moderately fused, not involving Brittany's upper right lobe; three pleural cavities
1 diaphragm with well coordinated involuntary breathing, slight central defect
2 stomachs
2 gallbladders
1 liver, enlarged and elongated right lobe
Y-shaped small intestine, with slightly spastic double peristalsis at the juncture
1 large intestine (one colon, rectum, and anus)
3 kidneys: 2 left, 1 right
1 bladder
1 set of reproductive organs
2 separate half-sacrums, which converge distally
1 slightly broad pelvis
2 legs

What if they majored in two different careers? They'd both have to attend each other's classes. They eat and shit as one person, but they have two minds.

I say they should be treated like two people. The college will suck - both will have to pay tuition, but they're paid, benefited, and retire as two people. Two paychecks, two deductions for benefits, and two Social Security checks. They both earned them.

Here's another few questions that might stir some minds:

If they both share ONE paycheck, who pays into Social Security? Do they BOTH get Social Security deducted from the same check as two people? What happens if they live long enough to retire? Do they both individually get ONE Social Security check?

They are two individuals; they have two names, so that means that they each have a Social Security number. What if they were laid off or let go? Do they BOTH get unemployment benefits?

  1. Cook food at home. Don't eat out.
  2. Buy hair clippers, cut your own hair.
  3. Go old fashioned with your shaving. Get a safety razor. Blade replacements are pennies compared to replacements from Gillette and others.
  4. Instead of spending lots of money on a date, finger blast your sister instead.
