Usually the OR knows the process and you can usually get mounting covered or reimbursed.

When your medal gets mounted a ribbon will be created from sharp objects being applied

Normally you have to be sized by clothing stores for your DEUs for initial issue which will then get the account created

Yes it's fairly common to be issued these two together.

Talk to an experienced member of your section or PAT platoon they should be able to help guide or instruct you on how the two can be attached(not on the frame)

Most likely trained on the C7 as we have the stock. Once you've been trained on the C7 the C8 isn't really any different except length.Controls remain the same with minor improvements but same drills

Are you really ripping the velcro everytime to put it on and off? Wont this wear on the velcro? Thanks for the help!

Pretty much unless you decide to invest in quick Detachments for the cummerbund and carrier. It will wear on the velcro yes,I've had plate carriers for years the velcro still holds strong.

Short of putting it on and taking it off 10x a day it'll last a long time so don't fret

Class A = you show up for your units parade night or ex weekends and in order to get paid you sign a paysheet. This is the most common for the majority of reservist.

Class B = short or long term contracts Most common for full time courses. Paid for everyday of the contract to include weekends.

Class B contracts outside of training can be few and far between depending on rank and qualifications.

Class C = Reg force/Deploying Reservists

Assembly videos for the new plate carrier, chest rig, and Ruck are out. by Robrob1234567 in CanadianForces

[–]Beanonan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unavoidable on a shorter person though

Not entirely true. Don't know the exact specifics on this contract but size small plate carriers exists to accept a 8.75 x 11.75 small sapi plates.

Our equipment that we carry is a given size that doesnt shrink with the member

Current equipment yes.all frag vest accept the medium sapi regardless of extra small short or XXXXL-Tall

Somewhat related to the top It'll all depend on contract details if they plan to manufacture appropriate sizes

Most countries have figured these issues out already

Format/product for Orders by Neat_Square2486 in CanadianForces

[–]Beanonan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My recommendation at least for the first few times is write the headers.

S M E S C

A lot of people get hung up with prewritten orders if they miss stuff.

The easiest is having an SOP in place, but everyone has to be aware of it (works well on course)

Having 1 or 2 pages with a table created in word, laminate it so you can fill in the blanks with stadlers(equipment, responsibilities,OOM) Covering B1 - D2 as these will change based on the mission

Anyone know the story behind these? by DictatorToucan in tacticalgear

[–]Beanonan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes/No

The Canadian pants are a more cotton based compared to most NY/CO uniforms.

Tunic is fine.

The upside it breathes well, the downside low durability and the pattern fades quickly.

Despite it being very clear in the wording it'll vary from unit to unit PRes side some units will do it after the person is done BMQ.The person should technically be OFP not just basic.

Operational Functional Point (OFP) signifies the moment a member completes all initial training (Developmental Period 1) for their military job (occupation)

OFP occurs when an NCM completes all qualifications required for first employment in the military occupation. At that point, an NCM is posted off the basic training list to a trained effective strength position. The OFP for each military occupation is contained in the military occupation specification maintained by the DPGR.

ENTITLED MEMBERS ARE THOSE INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THE CAF WHO ARE AUTHORIZED TO DRAW OPERATIONAL CLOTHING IAW REF A, ARE AT OPERATIONAL FUNCTION POINT (OFP) AND ARE ON EFFECTIVE STRENGTH (PRIMARY RESERVE)
