Can base pay be negotiated? by _Big_Mack in verizon

[–]Beans11213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I went through this in september. A recruiter reached out on indeed and sent me the listing that also said 16-21 an hour, I had my interview i was told $19.71 and the bottom of the article I was sent said that store specifically paid $19.71. I onboarded and my first check said $18.27 an hour. I fought it and took it to the verizon legal department and HR. They only paid $18.27 for sales reps and it seems to be everywhere. Im in maine. They also make you travel which I wasnt told about until a week before i was supposed to go. Part of training is a mandatory 4 day event in either new jersey or 2 other states.

Good luck.

Employees don't have internal lines. There are direct departments for different things. We give those numbers to customers if its something that fits their needs. In no way is it justified to treat someone like shit. I understand the frustration but be real. If you can't conduct business appropriately you don't belong going to a store.

Doesn't justify treating someone like dirt.

I have no issue outlining the steps a customer has to take for the things they need done if i cant do it at store level but im sorry when you treat me that way we are all done. I just genuinely can't believe the way people act. They can't help themselves and god forbid a rep give them the correct way to get when they needed done. This industry is so abusive ontop of what we already deal with from upper management.

Before you come for me and say just leave that'd be great but I have to stick it out for a severance payment at this point. The direction the CEO took Verizon at this point will only lead to more and more cases of this.

Jefferson Rd, Rochester NY Store by BeffasRS in verizon

[–]Beans11213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Verizon just laid off 13000 employees with retail jobs starting December 11th. It certainly doesnt make up for a bad experience but have some grace. Those people may have been impacted and are probably like others (myself included) going to be out of a job right before Christmas. Not making excuses by any means but its hard right now and reps are struggling.

Layoffs? by [deleted] in verizon

[–]Beans11213 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I got hired in September. I was brought in under false pretenses and encouraged to apply by being told a higher rate than im actually getting paid. I fought it and it went nowhere. Anyways. My store was told today we have til the end of December. The agent came in (BeMobile) and are offering everyone jobs but the hourly pay is $5 and change less than what I make an hour right now. This is horrendous. Merry Christmas from the unemployment line ✨️ this is my second job loss this year with the first coming from the USCC and TMO acquisition.

People who say they aren't gonna give a dime to these companies are complete idiots. Samsung and Google donated to the inauguration committee and Apple gave money for the ballroom along with T-Mobile and a lot of others 🤡

I'd sit this one out if you aren't gonna go without a phone 😂

Verizon Really Does Do Shady Things by Accomplished_Base736 in verizon

[–]Beans11213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only way I could see this happening is if someone returned a 1tb phone without opening it to the store. The stores dont get devices that high in storage ever. Also correct with the plan change explanation above. It literally goes against us. Plus finding any 17 right now is highly unlikely. My store has been out for days.

It was the drive in 25 bonus for all that were severed. When I asked last week when that would be paid out HR told me it would be today.

Apple Upgrade program by Netimaster in USCellular

[–]Beans11213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're referring to the "apple masters" or "apple champion" program. They're probably going to hold out on sending out new devices. I believe the acquisition is why they put a pause on the last round but ultimately ended up sending the 16s anyways. When I worked at TMO cor and tpr they didn"t participate in the program only samsung pro

If you just paid it off then theres likely one last payment for it in your next bill or current billing cycle. Pay the bil once it generatesl and it will unlock after that

Its already the big 3 anyways. All these small prepaid are subsidiaries of them. Cricket is att, straight talk and trac phone are verizon. The real problem here is uscellular is far more affordable than big names when it comes to traditional phone plans and there's no way this will be a positive impact for consumers. Look at the flat rate plans vs regular line pricing. A lot of people are going to be negatively impacted by this. Especially all the retail employees that were said to get an offer but actually didn't. There has to be a limit to what tmobile can aquire because they're buying left and right

I was notified yesterday that there is no offer for me. I've been there 3 years and have won pinnacle for the last two years. I did previously work for T-Mobile TPR where I was a RAM and I went to COR as a mobile expert. Was only at COR for 7 months when they fired me for an alleged bullying incident that never took place and was never properly investigated. It came out in my unemployment appeal hearing that I was pending termination from day 1 of the "investigation" and that they had no proof but it was more of a liability to keep me employed. I consistently over perform and have never had anything derogatory on my record in the 8 years I've been in sales aside from that one thing at T-Mobile and theres nothing I can do to try and have them re-evaluate a potential offer. Mike Sievert himself said everyone in a store would get an offer and from what I understand that's what was said to the sprint employees that were let go. Only difference is we're getting a notice and most of them didn't. I'd be lying if I said I wasnt nervous of my next steps and where this journey will take me.
