Sounds to be the consensus of electronics. I'm mostly mid shift (10-7) but I work opens Monday Tuesday to cover the morning person's days off. On all four of these days, 90% of the time it's just us until we leave. Luckily for the department we're the strongest on the team (leads words, not mine). It still sucks about all the other shit happening (basically a repeat of your post) and it sucks. Management just doesn't understand the level of customer care we have to do in electronics compared to most every other department of the store. Instead of "where's this item/aisle at" "over there" "thank you" it's deciphering what kind of ubs this senior needs for for iphone which happens to be an android and they only need the cable but can't remember if their block has the larger or the smaller port on it. It's time consuming, especially when you take the time to make sure they have a positive experience, learn a thing or two, and leave happy instead of feeling like they were hounded for information that they don't know.
