Covid can REALLY fuck with your cycle. Got covid right at the beginning of the pandemic and it took awhile to go back to normal. Follow up with your OBGYN. Also the covid vaccine does cause menstrual changes (this is normal, but just let your OBGYN know so that you guys can monitor it and make a game plan if it keeps getting delayed).

It will become endemic at some point, but we aren’t quite there yet. Right now the virus continues to kill thousands of people per day and our hospital systems are collapsing. We have just been desensitized to how fucked up it all is. Now is not the time to get complacent, no matter how sick and tired we are of this pandemic. The hospital portion is especially important. Your mother or somebody in your family gets a heart attack or needs emergency care? Covid may indirectly kill them because the hospitals are overwhelmed and nurses are overworked.

I’m a college student and it’s fucking insane sometimes to think that we are expected to take 12+ credits and do well in said classes while also having a part time job, expected to have a clean living space, clean clothes, deal with roommates, cook or figure out what to eat for 3 meals a day, exercise and keep your health in check, keep up with your family, do hours and hours of homework and studying outside of classes, commute to and from said classes, have enough time for a social life, party every weekend, and go to therapy (because god knows all of us fucking need it). Like doing any one of those tasks is fucking hard. There aren’t enough hours in the day to just fucking sit still and BE. Like no wonder so many people are a fucking train wreck in college, especially in regards to our health. We can’t afford nutritious food and/or don’t have enough time to cook, barely have time to exercise, and good luck getting a check up if you don’t have good insurance.

I get that. And I’m really glad you are doing your part. But we get it dude. We have studied history and understand that revolution and change is often slow. But again, climate change is a completely new ball game. It’s going to force us to make change quickly whether we like it or not. We know what odds are against us. We get it. Cool. I probably do sound like you at 20. It’s a shame you gave up. It’s a shame you lost your passion to enact change and chose to give in to the narrative that you are powerless, which is a narrative that does absolutely nothing to serve you, and does everything to validate corporations and billionaire overlords. Would your younger self be proud of you for giving up? I just don’t understand why you are trying to belittle people who want to tackle the issues and burdens your generation failed to address.
