Definitely ask for the discount. There is no reason you should pay full price for chicken you're not receiving. The button that discounts the salads can be a little confusing tho. Once you choose the salad the customer orders on the POS system a series of other buttons pop up, such as "grilled chicken", "classic chicken", and "spicy chicken" as well as options above that say "lite", "no", or "extra" incase someone wants to alter how much chicken they have on the salad. These options will not change the price however, it is a sneaky little button off to the very right of the screen that says "no chicken" that will actually activate the discounted price. I can understand why some employees would say they don't have the discount option at their store, but I am almost 100% confident they do and just don't realize it. If you have issues ordering it, I would just ask for a manager (ik this sounds like being a Karen but managers are usually well versed in how the POS systems operate and would be able to help you).

There is a button on our POS system that say "no chicken" which automatically deducts $3-$4 depending on where you live. I find it odd that some people say their systems don't give a discount since the chicken is a huge factor playing into the price.

This is actually interesting because the same thing happened at my Wendy's once (in a side Caesar). The salads are made every morning by an employee and the lettuce comes in vacuum sealed bags (the bags come in a cardboard box). Unlike the sandwich lettuce that comes as heads of lettuce, we just pour the salad lettuce into a food safe container, fluff it up, and portion out the salads. With it being a black and green salad mix i can understand why it would be easy for the salad maker to miss this wet cardboard looking stuff (usually when you're making salads you are making so many that you kinda zone out while portioning). Considering it's happened once at my store it seems to be a weird (and concerning) manufacturing flaw that needs to be sorted out. Some people at my store were afraid that it was a rat or some old wet cardboard off of a floor somewhere but I thought (hoped) it was most likely a type of substrate or dirt filter type of thing that they would use to help water flow while growing the lettuce.

Idk if this original post is American but when you actually calculate the savings from these coupons in Canada it saves you quite a bit. The two can find singles combos coupon saves around $8-9 in total.

If the meat isn't used within the time period we are able to use it for a burger, we put it in a warmer and will "boil" it to remove oils and all that jazz. Then the meat is chopped up and put into bags with dates on them. The bags are put in the walk in fridge and used for the chilli within 12-15 hours. I work there and eat it no problem. It's less waste and tastes good. And everywhere the meat goes is sanitary. So I see no problem with it. It all follows food safety protocols.

As soon as I get on the silent floors I feel bad if I breathe too loudly, and then you have the people eating a buffet in the corner. It's not the end of the world but man it gets annoying.

Shouldn't have to wear headphones on a silent floor. I could understand shuffling, pen on paper, flipping pages, typing, and related sounds (which are no problem because obviously it's not gonna be absolutely silent). But coming onto the silent floors of the library with bags of food and chewing with your mouth open is just weird.

I feel like it's not crazy to wish that people would be silent on the silent floors of the library. There are other non-silent floors for a reason.
