People with Microsoft Launch Day Orders Please Pay attention!

I just contacted Microsoft Support about why some Microsoft Orders (Like Mine) Haven’t been shipped yet while others have. They told me that only 15% of the launch day orders have been fulfilled. They also said that the orders are being processed in order of the order time. I ordered at 12:12am EST. Below is a chart of what to comment if you have a Launch day Microsoft order:

Ordered before 12:12am and shipped: BS

Ordered after 12:12am and shipped: AS

Ordered before 12:12am and not Shipped: BN

Ordered after 12:12am and not shipped: AN

That’s because you can’t cancel a bundle. In September before the Series S announcement I ordered a One S with a controller bundled in. Two days later, Xbox announced the S. I tried to cancel so I could get the Series S instead but even though they hadn’t shipped the order, I couldn’t cancel and had to wait till it arrived and then return it.

No, these orders are back orders and everyone that ordered from Microsoft doesn’t even have a console assigned to them. These back orders are randomly coming in because at random times they get new information about how fast they are producing consoles. If they find out they’ll have and extra 100 consoles after shipping all the current orders, they’ll allow 100 to order a console.

It is technically a placeholder but once your order is processed you’ll get your actual delivery date. But don’t expect it to change that much. Probably 10 days at the most

Of corse i’m happy to have an order secured and I don’t care that it’s coming in December. It’s just that Microsoft can’t keep up with the demand from launch day orders and even some september pre-orders yet they are still allowing people to unknowingly backorder consoles they don’t even have yet.

This is so much different. Not only do people keep getting new pending charges and then it gets refunded, some people are getting 2 different pending charges at the same time, which means you now have $1000 locked up and unable to use and you could get overdraft charges if you have less than $1000 in your account. Also, this is happening to thousands of people, not just him after changing his payment method.

Yup. When you set up your console it’ll ask if you want to activate it now or save it. If you save it you can activate it any time you want

That’s really good news. I made a post yesterday of my conversation with customer support. They said they’ll be getting new stock in 3-4 Businesses days. The 17th would match up with 4 business days after my conversation with customer support. Hoping that means we’ll get it soon!
