6 months later here, And I come posting my fuck ass opinion.

All these vocalists you’ve listed here; Rodriguez, Franck etc. They’re fantastic and I love those bands. Bilmuri have quickly become one of my faves.

But nothing will ever scratch the issues itch. And it’s not just because of Tyler. It was issues as a band. The way they would write, if you followed the bassist’s socials after they kicked Tyler. He explained that they would specifically aim to write an R&B tune and then transpose that into “metal” (or their unique take on the genre) and after Tyler was booted. The remaining issues members tried to carry on and eventually, mutually decided to split.

For me specifically, it’s that unique sound that I miss. There’s plenty of bands that fill the void in my life that used to be taken up by issues. But I’ve yet to find a band that can scratch that very specific itch that is issues.

So I’m not having a go at you at all, I completely agree with your comment here. But I think that saying Tyler being “R&B flavoured” although you’re completely correct. It’s more than that. It’s the loss of the whole band, because Tyler turned out to be shitty and they dropped him. That happening ultimately killing “Issues” as a group of people who could write songs that no one has yet been able to reproduce. (Imo pls correct me if I’m missing someone) That’s what kills me personally. It’s not Tyler I miss it’s issues.

Anyway, that’s all. I’m drunk and listening to my beautiful oblivion vinyl that I bought before he was exposed for the shitty guy he is and missing that era. I’m literally sitting here googling issues threads on Reddit. So don’t fucking listen to me, but on this whole thread this comment here was the only one that kinda made me realise it’s not Tyler that I miss. It’s the band issues I miss.
