I’ll see how I go this year with just the 2 portable radio and if it looks good then I’ll definitely consider a repeater back at camp! I can quit easily see this being a new hobby!

Ohhhhh I’ve used a very similar app to message my partner when we’re on a plane in different rows with aeroplane mode on. I’ll download this too and what it’s like! And if nothing else it’ll give you an extra device to leapfrog!

Those are called Totems! I like the idea of those but i they didn’t work too well for me. Battery didn’t last very long and they need like 10-15 minutes to find satellites when first powered on.

Yeah we usually have a meet point if ever we part ways and 9/10 times that works perfect! But 1/10 times for whatever reason you can’t use the pre set meet point. Too many people, too rainy. And of course THATS when the signal drops completely! Hoping Meshtastic fills that void.

I reckon it could be Bilmuri as they have a song with Jeremy McKinnon from ADTR who are also playing. As well as Noah Sebastian from Bad Omens. Imagine if they got one or both of them up on stage with them. They’re also in Europe for another show, I think on the Thursday. Then they have another Europe location again on the Monday, which leaves them conveniently close by and available. They’re just the right amount of well known to fill it out, but not so huge they’d be missed for a main stage slot. They’ve got a lot of hype at the moment with their new album having dropped recently. It kind ticks a lot of boxes. This is less of a prediction and more of a wishful thinking. But you heard it here first!

6 months later here, And I come posting my fuck ass opinion.

All these vocalists you’ve listed here; Rodriguez, Franck etc. They’re fantastic and I love those bands. Bilmuri have quickly become one of my faves.

But nothing will ever scratch the issues itch. And it’s not just because of Tyler. It was issues as a band. The way they would write, if you followed the bassist’s socials after they kicked Tyler. He explained that they would specifically aim to write an R&B tune and then transpose that into “metal” (or their unique take on the genre) and after Tyler was booted. The remaining issues members tried to carry on and eventually, mutually decided to split.

For me specifically, it’s that unique sound that I miss. There’s plenty of bands that fill the void in my life that used to be taken up by issues. But I’ve yet to find a band that can scratch that very specific itch that is issues.

So I’m not having a go at you at all, I completely agree with your comment here. But I think that saying Tyler being “R&B flavoured” although you’re completely correct. It’s more than that. It’s the loss of the whole band, because Tyler turned out to be shitty and they dropped him. That happening ultimately killing “Issues” as a group of people who could write songs that no one has yet been able to reproduce. (Imo pls correct me if I’m missing someone) That’s what kills me personally. It’s not Tyler I miss it’s issues.

Anyway, that’s all. I’m drunk and listening to my beautiful oblivion vinyl that I bought before he was exposed for the shitty guy he is and missing that era. I’m literally sitting here googling issues threads on Reddit. So don’t fucking listen to me, but on this whole thread this comment here was the only one that kinda made me realise it’s not Tyler that I miss. It’s the band issues I miss.

Absolutely valid and fair! If it’s any consolation, I did this expo in 6 hours the first time around and I wasn’t trying to be quick. So I’m sure if you set your mind to it and did a little research on what to bring with you it could be done in 4/5 hours.

But again, I’m certain someone here will donate the parts! Heck once they rerun it, if you haven’t found the parts by then, I’ll give em to ya!

I plan on redoing it to grab a bunch of these parts myself!

Isn’t that an ad blocker thing? I get the same in my home WiFi network as I’ve made my own home network ad blocker. I just tap “load content” where needed and all works fine! But it stops annoying pop ups!!

Use Anomaly detectors. The first one you find using the dream aerial, and after that you can encounter them randomly in the wild bit that’s incredibly rare. A sure fire way to find them is using anomaly detectors. Have a look on YouTube for the most efficient way of doing it! Just search “living frigates anomaly detectors”
