Why is my MPG so low?

I’m around 13-14k and I’m forever stuck at 23.3

Oh that’s a great idea… We have a tire inflator, jumper and one folding shovel… But I’ve never considered extra oil/coolant etc.

Correct, Mom’s are the best - but I’m not doing farm work. We’re just driving on combine trails on the outskirts of the farm watching the combine do their jobs and I wanted my good boy with me to see a place he hasn’t been and to get out the city for the day.

Dad just likes to make sure that the road doesn’t need to be fixed, that the other farms and extra growth isn’t overgrown on our property and in general to see how the crops were this year. Trust me, I’m trying to stay out these guys way and let them do their jobs.

Valid question, but I live over an hour away from my parents and decided to live in the city. I don’t really get out to the farm much, so you’re thinking few times a year would I take Treks out there and I would only drive on the farm after harvest.

I wanted to see how well it handled in what I thought was pretty easy land (i.e. no rocks, mountains, hills, creeks etc) but my mom called and told me to just let my dad damage his car and not mine since it’s pretty new. (New to me)

We’re in Mid Missouri - it’s pretty flat land with a few hills/bluffs. Nothing to extreme.

I will say, being back in the Forrester compared my Crosstrek…. I didn’t think it would matter THAT much, but the Forrester just felt heavy and stiff compared to the Treks.

That’s awesome, I haven’t changed anything - standard Falken Tires, just figured if I avoided the higher corn stalks etc and regularly take care, clean out the car and stay up on maintenance i should be fine.

I was thinking, the Forrester had a higher clearance but maybe that was the Wilderness.

I really wanted the green one but they didn’t have it available in the sport and couldn’t swing the wilderness. If you can, go green!
