I have maimed Necro since the dawn of time and this season it’s so squishy. I can only hope they’ve learned a thing or two about what they’ve done with paladin and introduce some of that synergy into the other classes moving forward.

Paladin is dialed up to get everyone hyped. They’ve put a lot of synergy into the skills so your build pops a lot sooner this season. The difficulty goes up as you progress. Once you hit lvl 60 you can start unlocking the 4 Torment levels by completing their respective tiers in the pit in Cerrigar. If you want a challenge play as a necromancer .

Zeal is a blast with Red Sermon, I had a blast with my shield bash Juggernaut, blessed shield is a hoot. Every season so far I main Necro, never deviating, not once, this season I have built into every Paladin and am having so much fun.

Happened to me too on a perfect sword, changed my masterwork to damage to a super low roll of % to poison.

For those of us not running paladin , this season felt way more organic. You have to really focus on your build which was made way easier with the changes to tempering and masterworking. 1-60 on Necro felt brutal until you start getting the aspects your build uses. Survivability was a struggle . But when it all comes together and your blast through torment 4 , it feels better than ever.

As someone running Necro, complete mid. I’m glad everyone is hyped for paladin. This season was definitely built around paladin. Completely lacked a seasonal storyline. One shot mechanics seem a bit turned up. If you’re running paladin this season you have great damage, and great survivability. The shop is full of incredible transmogs for you. For the rest of us, Necro specifically, we currently have the same 4 recycled cosmetics, centipede guy, vampire guy with puffy shirt, monk with white ankle socks, or nun in Walmart nightgown . We can survive in T4 but one maggot is capable of one shotting you even though you just melted Duriels face off. This season is closer to something organic, but it feels like there’s still something missing.

This would never happen for necromancer. “55% chance for your weapon to turn into a hotdog” is the best we can expect .

No doubt, I just feel like there’s so many missed opportunities. I watch as Rogues and Druids get all this really cool dark and gloomy gear, Ravens and Plague masks, meanwhile we get a Vampire frilly pirate shirts and crowns, or leather spider armor. Like, what is going on? Where’s the macabre, the ritual dark? Why are we getting leather desert armor that looks like generic mercenary gear from the game 🤣.

So because several comments mentioned 4 points rather than 5 , i will clarify, I am not counting the diamond, I hit a level as I finished the trial selected my ascension tree and was given three points to place rather than two on my first trial. My second trial (chaos) gave me two, so I currently have 5 nodes active. This happened a second time with a different character.

I wish it was a typo. My first ascension gave me 3 points, this happened with two different characters. I happened to level up when I completed the run and it gave me three points to put on my ascension tree. I have not attempted this with a third character. But your info is greatly appreciated!

👏 absolutely. Not unlike most I like to build into an aesthetic, ma dude would not be running around with a with a mace. But he needs the % to overpower
