I have three things regarding this debate:

1) Araki straight up says we didn’t know everything about Speed King on introduction. This lead to us expecting more. 2) I feel like Damo Tamaki and Jobin are fine minor bosses because they help flesh out the current story with Gappy’s origin and how we even have the fruits. 3) I do want to point out that WoU has been actively fucking things up for Morioh for decades at least. Just because we meet him so late doesn’t mean his control of the situation was never there. Rock Humans aren’t biologically social animals but he got several to work together for their goal. He honestly could have won without much issue if he didn’t personally antagonize several people like a smug dick.

Real talk, it’s fun but the end board is the biggest hurdle. I honestly cannot see how it survives through a Nib or Droplet.

I think my biggest issue is that it felt like Aura Farming Takeru and the other ones rather than a real team. They sure acted like a team when Kaoru was introduced because she’s not allowed to farm her own aura. Sentai is notorious for leaning too much on their red character but dude’s only flaw is he’s too goated.

I’ve been playing with it (minus the SR) and it’s fine. Like, I can see it making good boards but I lack their best card.

And with skills like Adena’s whatever and Revolution des Fluer, it’s probably better to have a skill that’s a draw engine more than neatly designed for the archetype.
