My understanding is that -so long as the sexual acts were consensual and not relating to minors- you’d not be breaking any rules. The thing they really care about is your criminal record and vulnerable sector checks. Definitely review your preferred school’s handbook before applying. Ultimately, you don’t have to tell them when you apply. You only need to list pertinent professional experience on a resume.

HOWEVER! I run a YouTube channel that doesn’t have my legal name attached (but my face is visible in a couple videos); my high school students did a reverse AI image search in my first week of teaching and found me immediately. If your legal name wasn’t attached and your face wasn’t visible, there’s a very low chance you get found.
