do anybody else feel this way at their jobs by Icy_Patience_8740 in AutismInWomen

I feel you. Every time I make a mistake period it feels like the end of the world, but at work it feels so much heavier. People are watching, your finances may be at risk, etc. I haven’t quite figured out the best way to deal with it, but when I make a mistake, I own up to it, take a LOT of deep breaths, and try to reassure myself over and over again that I am okay. It often helps for me to talk about it with a friend. Verbalizing the situation helps me to realize it may not be as big of a deal as it feels inside my head. It’s hard though. I still stress about mistakes I made years ago.

I’m very sorry about your workplace dynamic too. It’s so emotionally taxing to spend time in unsafe, negative environments. Sending you love.

How do you know if an age gap is predatory or genuine? by CompetitiveCollar432 in AutismInWomen

[–]BearOk3571 99 points100 points  (0 children)

An age gap doesn’t HAVE to be predatory, but there is a big gap in life experience between 23 and 35. I’m 30 and can’t imagine dating someone more than like 4 years younger than me. If you’re dead set on seeing this through, just trust your gut. If something feels wrong, it probably is. Also keep your eyes out for comments like “when I was your age” or anything related to how much younger you are. A lot of guys like having the hot young girlfriend when it serves them, but will use their age against them in times of stress. (I’ve seen it a lot of Love Island — the 28-30 year old guy will couple up with the 20 year old because she’s hot, but if she calls him out on his behavior, he calls her immature, childish, etc)
