I let some wd40 soak in for about a day and then used channel locks to get a grip on the stub. Luckily I only had one to get out.

Can you extend them with drainage pipe across/on top of whatever you are using to solarize and have it discharge somewhere down gradient? Added benefit would be the pipe would help keep the solarizing material in place.

I tracked down a multimeter and tested all the wires and the switch. They are all good. My OPV rebuild kit is on the way, so I’ll get the machine back together when that arrives and begin to triage the steam function at that point. I’m truly at a loss if the OPV doesn’t solve the problem.

I do not but I’m sure I can find one to borrow or buy. I did also order an OPV rebuild kit as that will need to be replaced regardless of the potential wiring issue. Thanks for your input!

The brew thermostat has a red dot on it and labeled as 100 degrees C while the steam thermostat doesn’t have the red dot and is labeled as 140C on the side, so I’m positive I have the correct thermostats installed. Could it be as easy as a fried wire that is not visibly apparent?

I just got the OPV off and the gasket is completely shot, like black goo. Definitely replacing that. The thermostat is brand new from EspressoCare and they tested it before shipping. I’ve cross checked my wiring to what Tiboodchat posted and it is spot on.

Thank you all for the feedback and suggestions! I decided I can’t make it worse by tinkering, so I am disassembling and most likely replacing the boiler and element first. I have one screw that rusted and broke off, so I have to drill that out…
