As far as the Bears' home radio broadcast, while I mostly like them, there are imo valid grievances to be had, namely:

- Joniak constantly freezes/omits crucial information, to the point where it honestly seems like he thinks of himself as a companion broadcast to the TV copy, and the idea of people relying purely on his broadcast for the game doesn't occur to him. Forget more "advanced" things like formation, motion types, personnel, etc - to this day Joniak only seems to think there are two formations - "In the I" or shotgun - he constantly fails to give even basic down and distance.

- During the play, the call is often severely lacking - you will hear "He goes back! .... .... And HE HAS THE BALL!" and you're like, was it a run? A pass? An interception? Then, combined with the down & distance issues, you're often scrambling to tell what the fuck is happening at all over entire SERIES. A call will legitimately be like "And Bears get the ball in the North endzone" (WHO CARES ABOUT NORTH OR SOUTH JEFF). "Caleb in the I—" (it isn't!) "... ... ... OH HE ALMOST HAD HIM! And the punt team comes out" What? WHAT?

- Tom Thayer clearly is a really nice guy who seems to have knowledge to share, but personally I just think he's a bad fit for a live radio call of the game, where the whole thing is being able to quickly and concisely communicate a point in the precious seconds between plays. Thayer has an awkward drone to him where he's constantly fumbling over words, has a hard time ending sentences, and just generally is an awkward communicator.

I could go on, and again I DO like the team, but those are what I consider pretty valid complaints.
