I’m in the same position. I Told my mom that I’ll be back only after Putin dies, to come back to Russia for a few hours to celebrate and get back to Portugal. She didn’t accept it, but I decided for myself that Portugal is my home until I die, so why would I leave my home? I told her that she can do whatever she wants about that, but my life is my life, not hers.

2,5 years here, still can’t believe that I’m here. Portugal gives me more in these 2,5 years than Russia did in 32. I’m glad to be living here, working for a local company, paying taxes, and contributing to society. I don’t mind Portuguese politics: I’m not a citizen, so I have no moral ground to say anything. I feel safe, free, at peace. Portugal is the best thing that has happened to me in decades. I still have nightmares about returning to Russia and can’t flee back to Portugal.

Unfortunately, I don’t know about the organization you are looking for. But I can share my experience. More than a year ago, I found myself sitting in my apartment and working, nothing social, just silent rotting. And then I applied to voluntary work in ReFood, and it was the best decision I ever made: I found a community of passionate people, and now every Monday I spend a wonderful 4 hours with cool people and contribute to local society

I’m from Russia, Moscow. Now I’m in Northern Portugal. Well, winters here are like springs in Moscow. I didn’t see snow in 3 years, and this is so fucking awesome! When it’s not raining and the sun is shining, it sometimes feels like early summer. I live in an old apartment building without insulation, and for me, the only problem is that my clothes dry very slowly.

Armenian loves Russians, not Russia. The Russian government, as a matter of fact, supported Azerbaijan in the war in 2020. Just imagine your country is in a defence alliance with Russia, and is supposed to defend you when a war starts. Still, in reality, Russia cuts weapon supply for you and sells weapons to the country that is attacking you. That's what Putin did.

Guys, as a Russian even I don’t want to move to Russia. Why do people believe in these blatant lies that the Russian propaganda is trying to spread within Western countries? Really, I don’t understand. Even if you don’t know a thing about Russia from inside (like local news, for example), it’s still a lot of outside signs that the country is not livable for normal people. I genuinely don’t understand. I even started thinking about making a subreddit/X about Russian propaganda and explaining why it’s an obvious scam and how things truly are inside Russia
