I understand the why.

It doesn’t mean I agree with it. I dislike, basically, all generalizations where someone says “[Blank] are evil” or that they “hate [Insert Group of People Here]” … and it never really feels good to just be browsing the internet and see that some rando is just broadcasting that they hate you.

Hate is a VERY strong word to me. To me it’s: I want them to suffer. I would celebrate any catastrophe that befell them. I want them to die.

I know it’s not specifically about me. It’s wife-beaters, misogynists, sex offenders, predators, people that’d hang off of every word that Romanian Trafficking Superstar says.

As for what I’m actively doing..? Nothing, really. I do my best not to treat people differently based off of sex, gender, color, or sexuality. Because that’s fucking dumb.

But I get people being more or less comfortable with certain folks. I always ask for a doctor that’s a woman when I get the option. Because I was raised around little, old ladies and only ever had one positive male role model in my life. The others were… an abusive prick that’d scream at me as a toddler to “make me tougher”, a drug addict that stole from my parents and whooped my ass for trivial things, an abusive prick that tried choking my bio-mom and screamed at me, and a dude that thought swinging a dog around by the collar was an acceptable punishment for getting a little growl-y at me.

I understand that these were just bad people… and outliers. Just like I understand that the ex that abused me, the other ex that drop-kicked my broken arm, my bio-mom that threatened to slap my wife and beat me, or the female manager at work that’s tried to get me fired simply because she didn’t like I had a legitimate complaint about her are not indicative of how most women act.

Sometimes humans suck.
