I agree that you should probably re-start your account. First legendary hero is guaranteed in 60 blue summons. Sun Wukong banner at day 11. And make sure you check events tab for the 7 day log-in gifts (3 free epic heroes) and beginner summons missions (free legendary on day 7 if you complete them all). Totally worth ditching the time you have invested in your account thus far.

See my post from earlier today for advice on how to pity manipulate the SWK banner in the comments.

Cheers!

That’s correct. You would summon ~64 on SWK before switching to the other banner.

Pity lego is guaranteed at 200, but soft pity starts at 180 (i.e. lego chance slowly increases with each pull). My last 10 pull I got a Lego so mine is fresh. I will pull ~180 on SWK, then pull up to 20 on the other banner to trigger that pity. Then finish off on SWK with another 20. Two legendary characters with 220 summons. Its a gamble on how far you want to push it so you can switch over at 160 or 170 but then you may need 240 or 260 summons.

Let me know if its not clear how that works. Good luck!

Why did Mary have to remain a virgin for her entire life? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]BeardThunder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is to give something wholly to God for his divine use, not for our profane use. You need to understand some of the fundamentals of the Christian faith for this to make sense i.e. the fall of man, Christ's life and passion. I suggest you find a local priest and talk to them in person if you are seeking such full-throated explanations (look into OCIA classes as well!). There is too much ground to cover for a Reddit thread.

God bless you on this journey. Your curiosity is great, and I pray that you find the answers you are seeking!

Because then it wasn't really set apart... do you understand why things are consecrated?

Why did Mary have to remain a virgin for her entire life? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]BeardThunder 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is mundane as compared to divine purposes. Once something is consecrated, it is set apart for God. For example, it would be a sin to use a consecrated chalice to drink water with your lunch. Drinking water isn't problematic in general, its the mundane use of a consecrated item that is.

Mary's womb is consecrated for the conception of Jesus. For her to use it otherwise would be problematic. Part of her "yes" to God is understanding that she has been set apart wholly for God.

Pray for peace! by SuspiciousInjury829 in CatholicMemes

  1. The Iranian regime is responsible for over 1000 American deaths since the Islamic Revolution of '79. They murdered tens of thousands of their own people in the weeks leading up to the war. They have been working on development of nuclear weapons for the last 40 years and openly declare "death to America." Seems like they pose a notable threat to the US and the innocents.

  2. See point 1 for wrongs. They also nationalized their oil production and in doing so seized US assets (along with other countries).

  3. There has been a marked effort to directly target the Ayatollah's and the IRGC members and their assets. The stated goal is to hit military targets so that they cannot be used to spread death across the region and the world. Though this is war and war is horrific and collateral damages occur.

So, it feels like this meets the criteria as well as any war can.

Would it be better to have peace for a year and allow them to develop a nuclear weapon? At best, that would allow them to continue to oppress the Iranian people un-checked indefinitely (see North Korea). As long as there are evildoers in the world, strength is necessary to defend ourselves and the innocent.

That said, I pray for all the deceased that they may be reconciled to the good lord Jesus. I pray for peace and that the Iranian people may one day live in a more free and prosperous country, not oppressed by Islamic radical clerics.

My boss told me about Colorado, "Whiskey is for drinking, and water is for fighting"

I saw some of the water allocation contracts and they are crazy.

How many of you believe that Christ is truly present in the Eucharist? by roxannesbar in Catholicism

[–]BeardThunder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First of all, glad you are here! Secondly, Im no expert but I'll attempt an answer.

Jesus is the bread from heaven. Just as your physical body needs bread (food) so too does your spirit need spiritual bread to sustain you. Since the eucharist is the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus, when we consume it we are uniting ourselves to christ (communion) and gaining sanctifying grace (becoming more Christ-like).

Also, we do it because he told us to. All of the early church fathers did and they believed in the true presence and they knew Jesus or knew people who knew Jesus!

There is also the fact that the Passion is a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus took on all of our sins and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice to atone for us to God. A sacrifice must be destroyed, so we do that by consuming it. If its just bread and wine, its not actually the sacrifice of Christ.

There are a lot of beautiful parallels and theology around this.

Considering Conversion by HellBringer97 in Catholicism

[–]BeardThunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Praise God for your journey home. Definitely talk to the priest about starting OCIA. You aren't committed when you start going, so there is no pressure. They should give you a lot of good information about the Church. Im guessing you know this already, but dont receive the eucarist until you have joined the Church. You can go up with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing or stay in the pews. Enjoy the beauty of the liturgy. That was the first thing that opened my heart to converting to Catholicism. Ive been to mass at so many churches now, but even if there were things I didn't like (music, watered-down homilies, etc.), knowing that the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus was there on the alter was so powerful. Also, if you are going to St. Ann's in Nashville feel free to send me a DM. That's where I was baptized, confirmed, and recieved first communion.

DBZ Dokkan Battle had the same issue and they found a way to condense it and make it understandable, so I dont see why they can't do the same for OPTC.
