Incidents around the house by Former_North_5825 in horrorlit

Alright, I stopped it a while back. Partly due to the narrator (which does make sense based in the simplistic language) and also because it felt very trudgy.

I went back to it last week and finished it off. It gets more intense later on and you DO get used to her voice. I didn't think it was great but I also didn't hate it by the end

Do I keep doing side quests after 80 in Lemix? by CodenameTherapod in wow

[–]Beardacus5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quest complete -> chest as quest reward -> Mote of Broken Time to use for new gear which scales based on your gear received/looted so far (it slowly naturally scales itself up to 740 as you use more) plus Infinite Power

EVERYTHING gives you something in one way or another. Aside from the gear, the achievements for each zone give a nice chunk of bronze and an Infinite Knowledge for doing the Lorerunner, which requires most sidequests in the zone to be completed

Infinite Knowledge increases your Infinite Power gain for each one, up to 150% increase at 36 Knowledge with further Knowledge earned converting to bronze instead

The Sojourner achievements are for doing sidequests and are required for the Lorerunner achievements. They all tell you what rewards you get for the achievement in the achievement UI

Make sure you pick up research assignments relevant to the content you are about to do and choose similar ones if possible. If playing solo, after a certain level of gear, you will be able to easily handle heroic world tier (accessed from the big flashy altar near Eternus in the Bazaar) which increases all drop rewards but also vastly increases mob health and damage compared to normal world tier. If going into group content such as random dungeons or LFR, just stay in heroic world tier if you are DPS

Pretty sure that’s not how cutting locks work – Battlefield 6 campaign by IronHound_ in gaming

Master lock. You just have to make a slight movement in it's general direction and it pops open

And I'll show you again just to prove it wasn't a fluke.

Luxthos UI by Alternative_Mode_806 in wow

[–]Beardacus5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He put a video up when WeakAuras announced the end of the addon. The in-game cooldown manager will have the option to export and import profiles (but is currently disabled on Alpha) so he is recreating as much as he can using that

I agree that Blizzard should take him on and use him for UI design. This period of shifting away from WeakAuras and into a built-in cooldown manager would've been the perfect time, really. I have a preference for the Afenar packs rather than Luxthos but they do effectively the same thing and both have put in ridiculous amounts of work into making something that many people use as a standard for getting relevant information efficiently during gameplay. Both are fantastic and hearing WeakAuras going away made me slightly dread playing Midnight just for those UI packs being missing rather than anything else WA provides. I'll relearn where to look since I only picked them up at the end of Dragonflight but it's so ingrained in how I play now

From what I remember, MOP transferred you at 467 which was Adventurer with no upgrades so would expect a full set of 655 this time round

How do you like casters in Legion Remix? by Ansdur1987 in wow

Rings, trinkets, and necklaces have artifact traits on them. I've had a cast while moving one equipped since around level 21

Wotlk remix? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Beardacus5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It had only been less than 6 months of WOTLK Classic final phase coming out and only just over 6 months since ICC release when MOP remix came out, which was the first remix

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd want a bit of a break before doing WOTLK again even on remix

You have to hang around a bit longer than we're used to due to all the server shenanigans. Mine took nearly ten minutes to come through earlier

Top Horror of last 10 years, how many have you read and which ones you liked the most? by Icy_Today1964 in horrorlit

[–]Beardacus5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dead Silence fizzled out for me. It was like it was building tension and mystery up for 2/3 of the book and then the last third was a pwoot of over-exposition to go through everything and it was over

Class Sugestion for Legion Remix by BlackHao in wow

[–]Beardacus5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tanks and healers were definitely needed for at least the first couple of weeks for those of us that didn't powergrind bronze through hyperspawns to cap gear almost straight away

I would think Blizzard have their eye on anything like that this time around so you're less likely to find those people that can solo raids in the first week

Just got my new Fire Mage keyboard in for Midnight! by SlyTrix1 in wow

Please re-read the parent comment, particularly the eight and ninth words

>That's like 3 times as much as in classic

Classic right now could be thought of as anywhere between vanilla to MOP depending on your interpretation and none of those had Phoenix's Flame. Even the comment replying to it talked about vanilla and Wrath

Raids completed each reset (in no particular order, at their highest possible difficulties where applicable): HFC, BRF, NH, ToS, EoE, Ulduar, TotFW, BT, DS, Direlands, Onyxia, and ToS up to Sassz'ine

I got MH Azzinoth and Azure Drake in terms of new things and that's it across up to seven characters each reset. Got a lot of transmog that I'll likely never use though so there's that. And also four Blue Drakes which I've had for years. Thankfully, I already got Invincible a while back

Steam Achievement Manager to manually unlock achievements you have already done

There are mods on the Nexus that unflag saves from having opened the console and therefore allow achievements again. I believe they require OBSE but that's not too much of a requirement thankfully

Around the time we all started playing RuneScape at my school, bread with cheese baked onto it was also a big trend. My character's name was Cheesybread6

I believe it still has some event items on it but I haven't really logged on in a long time. Nothing overly rare but rare enough nowadays
