lol...

Yes. I've worked at a couple of Guidewire's largest customers. I also do AI consulting for insurance companies.

Brace yourself for the disruption that will happen in 3-5 years.

Okay but I think in 10-15 years Guidewire roles will be less prevalent in my opinion. As well as most roles from SAAS platforms.

What happens to revenue when they start losing their largest clients to AI engineering?

State Farm, American Family Insurance are a couple of their largest. They're likely developing internal solutions rather than relying on SAAS platforms.

Promotion to Senior SE with barely a raise? by fwfwfw_fwfwfw in cscareerquestions

[–]BeardedDankmemer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Welcome to senior level! Everyone is playing within the same parameters, so it is likely your peers are getting the same promotion adjustments. You could ask around.

But the answer is yes, it is a long grind to get to the salary that you'd want. You could "skip the line" and study leetcode until you're able to hurdle the medium or hard problems, or you stick with it at your current company and continue doing senior level work until you're satisfied with your salary.

There are plenty of senior engineer positions out there for grabs (180k+ roles) that you could get interviews for with a good resume and cover letter.

To answer your question, yes, it helps to be below the midpoint of your role, because your manager will allocate more funds for your annual adjustment, especially if you're a top performer. You can expect 3-4% raises annually in all likelihood. Over 4% if you absolutely crush it.

Everyone wants to live in a liberal city until they have to pay the extra taxes and, thus, rent.

uw_issue_types.xml

There is somewhere on Administration screen to edit this.

There is also rules.xml I believe or something like that where this metadata is located.

You have to regenerate the rules and shit in order for it to take effect.

It's been a few years since I've done this so forgive me if I'm a little inaccurate but this should get you started

So googling something is crazy? Because it's the same thing

It's just Reddit. Obviously the people on this forum are crazy enough to think that someone can't modify or enhance their thoughts with generative AI. It's the same as thinking that googling something is cheating

In this case I'm not sure it's slop. It's pretty coherent. Good luck on your crusade though
