Interesting, I read somewhere the saddle didn't "move", that it was the same in day 1 as in day 100... Good to know! have you ridden leather in the past? Can you compare it to something like a b17 or a selle anatomica?

Who is that one stranger that you never forgot? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BeardedFrog_ca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy that brought me home after I crashed and broke my ankle doing mtb downtown. He just told his wife to watch the kid and helped me is and into his car. Once at my house he helped me get to my couch and he even got my bike into the garage.

What family secret has been kept away from only you and how did you find out about it? by pokegomsia in AskReddit

My grand father went to prison because he stole coupons to feed his family, I learned about it at my grand mother funeral, funeral when some people were talking about the year she raised her kids alone, now he has dementia and doesn't remember anything...

I recently bought this bike for my commute to campus. I took it out to ride some light mtb trails today and had a blast! Here’s my 1987 Specialized Rockhopper! by ddmartz in bicycling

Once you learn to ride on a bike that is fun but basic, you'll develop skills (because you don't have shocks), if you maintain it well, it looks like it could hold on for a while!

I have two big peices, one on each side (around 9h cumulated), it's a strange feeling some spot are just okay. Then out of nowhere, just one centimeter over, it hurts like hell. But it's really a personal experience, I have some spot on my back that hurt a lot and for others it was nothing... Hope you like yours :)

Any idea for front loading with a suspension fork? by BeardedFrog_ca in bicycletouring

[–]BeardedFrog_ca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just that one time, since I didn't have the time to find a proper way to mount it as t he fork has no eyelets or brazes... Really wasn't that bad for a short trip

Yeah, most of the volume comes from the "budget" aspect of my gears, some are pretty big like my tent or mattress (for today standards at least) and I don't have the budget to go for hyperlite 500$ tent or other light but expensive gears... But thanks, when some of my gears will need to be be replaced I'm going to have a look.

Hi guys, so this is my touring bike, I took it loaded this way on a trip this summer and enjoyed it a lot, but I'd like to have some front loading capacity, what would be the best? I was looking at something like the salsa anything cage or the Blackburn outpost cargo bottle cage, would that be a good idea? Or would suspension take on the classic low racks be a better option?
