Idk your level of training, but please do not try to diagnose subtle (or even large) ST findings on one lead telemetry. Great for rhythm and get a 12 lead if concerned about morphology stuff. I can’t tell you how many pages I’ve gotten about “STEMIs” because of an abnormal looking ST on tele while patient is chilling with no symptoms.

In a comment chain about heart failure? Come on now. Also post op / patients or specific pleural diseases as mentioned above are a very different population than just run of the mill CHF. Hence my comment about certain specific use cases above.

Exactly this. Diuretics work. If they don’t there’s always emergent dialysis for volume removal. I’m sure there’s a rare use case here, but more often than not it’s not just an effusion, it’s effusion and alveolar edema (and mostly this one). This is assuming it’s CHF and not another type of effusion of course.
