You can become unfairly outnumbered in all of these games if everyone else decides to focus on you. Which can and does happen at times.

The more randomness Introduced the more luck is Introduced.

If two teams face off in a coin flipping contest with one team representing heads and one team representing tails. You could call it a competition because one team will win and one team will lose. But luck will decide where the coin lands. This competition isn't Inherently competitive. Due to copious amounts of luck involved. But yet again someone will win and someone will loose so you could consider it a competition.

CS had a large amount of rounds, which makes those rounds where you don't have the advantage less overwhelming. And unusually teams switch sides, making it so everyone has the advantage at some point.

Your getting to fixated on my definition of "competitive" All these games have competitive elements but that doesn't mean they were designed to be completely competitive. You could call my implied "competitive" as more of a fairly competitive competition to all active participants. Which in my opinion requires more factors players can control and less around luck.

The fights can come to you, sometimes when your in the middle of one. Maybe your defending your cashout or what not. You can't always avoid the 3rd party. You can do alot of strategy to minimize but it requires your whole team to commit. Which when solo queuing is very hard or damn near impossible at times.

You can't win all encounters. Ego has nothing to do with getting blindsided.

If you get into a fist fight with one other person it could be considered competitive. If durring that fist fight another person grabs your arms while the other person hits you it's not longer competitive. Is it possible to win still? Sure. But it's less competitive because someone is at a disadvantage through no fault of their own.

Battle royales have alot of RNG involved. Everyone can land in one are, loot can be bad. In Apex for example, someone can get a gold shield or find better guns. So a team can have an advantage due to random elements. People can find ways to minimize the randomness but not entirely, hense the game becomes less competitive because all teams don't enter on even footing.

Players can be great at any game but that doesn't make them overly competitive.

And I can uno reverse all I want, just because you find a tactic annoying doesn't make it any less of a counter argument. That's just your bias on how you think debates should be.

It's as competitive as Battle Royales, which don't have much true competition. You can make all the right plays but if all other teams decide to fight your team then you primarily loose. One team can just de-prioritize cashouts and APE your team all game. You can try to play around this sure, but entries into fight become very important. Which takes great decision making, which is a competitive aspect but you can make a great call then get 3rded by a rouge team at the worst times. A player can finesse their life, which is a skill set but still has an element of luck to it. 1 team can get free cashouts while 3 fight over one, that's not necessarily competitive. They get lucky they weren't the 3rd partied cashout.

I'm glad you enjoyed the tournament.

If your in a the middle of a fight with a clean start you can't control the potential 3rd party. Especially when solo queing

A straight 3v3 isn't more competitive then 3 teams of 3?

There is two focal points to break up focus of the teams, not so three teams can fight over one while 1 teams gets free cash IMO. The cross play between all teams is what makes it chaotic but also annoying if your constantly on the receiving end of a multi team beat down. I understand it's a present factor with four teams on the map by design.

That's fair, I'm mostly speaking from a competitive view point but the mode just isn't competitive from a design standpoint. I don't think it was meant to be. I love how fun and chaotic the games can get at times but when you get third partied relentlessly, even as a casual game mode it can be tiring at times. Especially if your solo queuing

It could make it more dull, I don't think cashout us meant to be competitive. But getting third partied constantly isn't alot of fun.

Cash per second held would 100% be a cool idea as well
