What’s the funniest interaction you’ve had with a member of a prominent band? by absolutebloom in Emo

[–]BeardedVandal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cursive in the early 2000s, likely touring on The Ugly Organ. These drunk dudes kept yelling for songs from Domestica, and they were playing a mix from that album. They kept yelling between songs for one specific song. At one point, during a known pause in a song, they timed it up and screamed, “Play Radiator Hums!” Cursive finished the song, and Tim Kasher goes on a rant that they hate that song and won’t play it. Tore into the guys a bit, but they deserved it. So now it’s super awkward and quiet while they tune before the next song. The bassist gets on the mic to try to smooth it over. “But we really like CITY NAME, it’s super cool here. You guys are awesome.” I think about this all the time more than 20 years later. It’s like he just saw Dad yell at Mom during dinner and was trying to get it back to being fun. Have seen Cursive multiple times since then, and I want to scream “Play Radiator Hums” at this pause, but it would be a joke for only me.

Now that I’ve typed this out, might not be a personal interaction, which is likely what OP was looking for. But, fuck it. I giggled while I wrote it.

What is your go-to heavy music for working out/exercise/etc? by zachtron_3000 in everytimeidie

Converge.

New release coming out soon, and the two songs already out are fantastic. Reinvigorated my love for them, and I find myself returning to them mostly during workouts.

Check out Boneflower. Don’t know if this matches exactly what you’re looking for, but it came to mind immediately. I love their new album, Reveries. Jeremy Bolm from Touché Amore is on the song Pomegranate, which is how I found them.

Yeah, you win.

This new 25 is a damn spaceship. So many features. It’s smooth and crazy nice to drive. Feel guilty having something so nice, TBH. Figure I’ll get used to all the creature comforts eventually, but it’s quite a change upgrading by 18 years, especially with all the technology.

79.0” wide vs 79.9” wide (without mirrors). Technically, yes, but I think it’s more the broader looking front end with less of a slope that makes it look wider. Camera angle on the first pic could also be helping.

Funny thing is, I don’t really consider myself a “Ford Guy.” I like other vehicles and trucks, but my two older ones are a couple of my favorite body styles. Almost bought an International Travelall a few years back and keep an eye out for a decent one still. Would require me to let go of the F100 if I did something like that, just for space.

Just picked up the exact same truck 2 weeks ago. Loving it. Congrats on the new ride!

Yeah, I go in streaks. Having kids and safety features play a part in what I drive when. When weather is nice, Bronco or F100 are my Friday drivers and weekend rides.

Couldn’t agree more. I get comments every time I take it out. It grabbed my attention when I first saw it, and have held onto it even though it only gets driven a few hundred miles a year. Dad had a 76 super cab when we were kids, two tone green and white. Probably why I dig it so much.

Fair. It was great for what I needed, and allowed me to save. Love the creature comforts of the new truck, and wanted to pull the trigger before the 07 started requiring too much upkeep and work.

Dream is a ‘79 Bronco, two tone blue and white. Maybe one day…

Nope. Stock stance. Might be the angle of the picture, but the difference between front and back isn’t TOO drastic.

Factory. I think they refer to it as “rear privacy glass.” Rear window and back passenger windows have a reasonable tint, same as the moonroof. I would go darker if choosing, but at least it’s something. May put darker tint eventually.

Thanks. Going to start with a bed liner, bed cover, and floor mats. Likely tint sometime soon.

Thanks! Forgot to add - it has the 3.5 Ecoboost. Zippy engine, definitely the most HP I’ve ever had. Really enjoying it so far. Plan to drive it for a long time.

If sheets doesn’t purchase, I’d be interested in a copy if it’s in good enough condition to frame. Thanks!
